🇿🇦 South African President Cyril Ramaphosa says that the country will not abandon its DEI policies, known as “Black Economic Empowerment (BEE).”
“Those who say BEE and affirmative action must stop are just dreaming,” he said.
South Africa has strict laws that mandate race-based hiring practices.
A new law called the Employment Equity Amendment Act sets hiring targets for 2025–2030 across 18 economic sectors.
Some workforce targets aim for 90–96% of employees to come from designated groups, which include Black people, women, and people with disabilities (minimum 3%).
That means that if a company has more than 5% white men, it could face penalties of up to 10% of its income.

Without South Africa, Starlink's ambitions to penetrate the rest of the African market are in chokehold position. This explains why Elon is hyperventilating about our country's laws despite his hatred for it. Breathe, broer!

Elon is very courageous to speak out about the BEE race laws that are destroying South Africa
That said, he is off on Mandela. Mandela was a communist-trained terrorist
He personally founded the Spear of the Nation (MK) terror group over the objections of the ANC leadership at the time, to wage a bombing campaign against Afrikaners, including civilian infrastructure
He was soon caught and arrested; it was for this terror bombing that he was locked up for life
From prison, he communicated with what remained of the MK through his wife Winnie, a harridan known for torturing enemies to death via necklacing. He helped MK plan its exceedingly deadly terrorist attacks on white civilians across South Africa in the 1970s and 1980s
The South African government actually offered to release him if he would condemn abc renounce such terrorist violence as a political tactic, but he refused
He ended up in power anyway and the anarchic, race communist state of things is probably what he would have preferred

We are being held back by race based laws. Elon Musk should have his business to operate in South Africa, he is a South African.

This is the real reason Elon wants Starlink in South Africa. He wants to become the internet provider for the whole continent; ultimately it's about controlling Africa's internet access.

South Africa won’t allow Starlink to be licensed, even though I was BORN THERE, simply because I am not Black! We were offered many times the opportunity to bribe our way to a license by pretending that a Black guy runs Starlink SA, but I have refused to do so on principle. Racism should not be rewarded no matter to which race it is applied. Shame on the racist politicians in South Africa. They should be shown no respect whatsoever anywhere in the world and shunned for being unashamedly RACISTS!
