x402 and ERC8004 market map is getting clearer by the day. Identity, payments & agents are finally aligning into one system. AWE sits at the center, connecting standards to real usage inside the Base ecosystem. Today’s updates show this isn’t theory anymore, it’s infrastructure
Coinbase Developer Platform🛡️@CoinbaseDev

Earlier this year we announced x402. x402 enables AI agents to pay for content and services as well as execute transactions using stablecoins. In the last 30 days we’ve seen over $200M in annualized transactions across both humans and AI agents. 📈

@captainjack125 The most successful agent ecosystems will likely combine openness with accountability. Users want the freedom to build and deploy agents, but they also want mechanisms that help them assess trustworthiness before interacting with those agents.

There’s a fundamental difference between a registry and a trust layer. A registry can tell you that an AI agent exists. It can provide a name, metadata, capabilities, and a record of registration. But existence alone does not create trust. A trust layer answers a far more important question: who stands behind the agent? Who is accountable when the agent executes transactions, manages assets, signs commitments, or interacts with users? As the agentic economy continues to grow, registration is becoming easy. Accountability remains the real challenge. The industry already has plenty of registries that can catalog and discover agents. What it lacks is a reliable trust layer that connects those agents to verifiable responsibility. An on-chain identity can prove an agent exists.

Makes sense. Card rails rely on human verification, which breaks down when autonomous agents are involved. Delegated and scoped access is a better model, giving agents limited permissions instead of full control over funds. At the same time, payments alone are not enough. Accountability matters too. This is where @Concordium adds value by helping connect agents to verifiable identities, making autonomous commerce more trustworthy and scalable.

Stablecoin rails and smart contract delegation solve an important part of the agent economy. They give agents controlled access to capital without exposing an entire wallet. But how about accountability ? We can't actually rule out this. An on-chain identity only tells us that an agent exists. It does not tell us who is responsible when that agent executes transactions, signs commitments, or interacts with users. As AI agents become participants in real economic activity, accountability becomes just as important as payments. This is where @Concordium's approach stands out. Through its identity and verification infrastructure, agents can move beyond simple registration toward verifiable accountability. Not just proving that an agent exists, but establishing who stands behind it when trust, compliance, and responsibility matter. The future of agentic commerce needs both efficient payment rails and accountable digital identities.
KITE AI@GoKiteAI

Why credit cards can't power the agent economy, and what will. At the @USC VanEck Southern California Blockchain Conference, our Co-founder & CEO @ChiZhangData broke down why existing payment infrastructure fails when AI agents transact: ▷ Privacy risk: Agents need your CVV, name, and card number with zero accountability. ▷ Fraud triggers: Automated browser clicks get flagged by Visa/Chase algorithms instantly. ▷ No agent identity: Agents can't sign up or sign in. Humans must intervene every time. The fix? Stablecoin-native rails with smart contract delegation. Giving agents a specific amount, a specific purpose, and a specific time window. Not your whole wallet. This is what Kite is building.

Let's face the reality today and change our perspective on how AI agents operates, things are changing already. They are executing trades, managing portfolios, interacting with protocols, and making on-chain decisions involving real capital every day. But there is a problem few people are talking about. When an AI agent causes financial harm, executes a malicious transaction, manipulates a market, or simply makes a costly mistake, who is actually responsible? The user ? The developer ? The operator ? The protocol ? Or the agent itself ? Today, the answer is often unclear. Most autonomous agents can move assets, sign commitments, and interact with decentralized systems, yet many operate without a clear framework for accountability, attribution, or legal responsibility. The agentic economy is scaling rapidly. Capital is becoming autonomous. Execution is becoming autonomous. Decision-making is becoming autonomous. Accountability is still one of the biggest issue and this is why @Concordium set in >>> For AI agents to become trusted participants in global financial systems, we need more than intelligence and automation. We need verifiable identity, transparent ownership, auditable actions, and clear responsibility when things go wrong. The next phase of the agent economy will not be defined by how autonomous agents become. It will be defined by how accountable they are. Because without accountability, autonomous finance cannot scale sustainably.
The Chief Captain tweet media
Concordium@Concordium

AI agents are executing trades on behalf of users. Managing portfolios worth real money. Signing on-chain commitments. Quick question: If one of those agents rugs someone, loses funds, or executes a harmful action, who’s legally accountable? Structurally, right now: nobody is. The agentic economy is live. The accountability layer isn’t. At least not yet…

Today AI agents are already managing assets, executing transactions, and interacting with financial systems. While standards like ERC-8004 define what agents can do on-chain, they do not establish who is accountable for those actions. @Concordium has now introduced the Agent Registry, the first protocol-level identity and accountability layer designed specifically for AI agents. Developers can register agents with verifiable identities backed by Concordium ID and Zero-Knowledge Proofs, creating a direct link between autonomous agents and accountable humans. The infrastructure is built around three core components: → Agent Registry: Verifies the identity of an agent. → Verified by Concordium Keys (VCK): Verifies ownership of agent signing keys. → Verified by Concordium Domain Control (VCDC): Verifies the business or organization behind the agent.

Extremely excited to share that @burnt_xion just introduced one of the most practical and incredible tools for blockchain builders looking to ship faster. .............................. It's called MOB .................................... What exactly is MOB ? @burnt_xion recently launched MOB, a multi-platform signing client library designed to simplify development across different environments. At its core is a high-performance Rust engine with native bindings for Swift, Kotlin, Python, Ruby, and more through UniFFI. Instead of maintaining separate SDKs and logic for every platform, developers can work from a single foundation. MOB handles transaction signing, account management, chain interactions, session keys, meta-accounts, and gasless transactions from one shared codebase. Why this matters for developers ? Native mobile teams can continue building in Swift and Kotlin without sacrificing user experience. Backend engineers and automation developers can access the same functionality directly from Python, Ruby, and other supported languages. Every improvement made to the core benefits every supported language. > One core implementation. > One security review. > Multiple platforms. This significantly reduces the complexity that has traditionally slowed blockchain adoption among millions of mobile and software developers. MOB makes it easier to build faster, ship better products, and maintain consistency across platforms. Users get smoother applications where blockchain complexity stays in the background. Builders get a more efficient development experience. That is how infrastructure becomes adoption. To understand better kindly watch the video below and read this well detailed doc written by @burnt_xion > docs.burnt.com/xion/developer…

Identity verification has always come with a tradeoff, prove who you are, and hand over more data than necessary. It means «Full names shared» «Birth dates exposed» «Personal information stored across multiple systems» With @Concordium zero-knowledge proof, that model changes. Users can prove a specific claim, such as being over 18, without revealing the underlying personal information used to verify it. «The verifier gets confirmation» «The user keeps their privacy» That same principle powers the Verified Fan Programme. Fans can verify eligibility and access experiences while maintaining control over their personal data. Learn more > concordium.com/danishicehockey
Concordium@Concordium

How does Concordium verify you without seeing your data? Normally, to prove you are over 18, you show your ID. Name. DOB. Address. Everything. With zero-knowledge proof, you prove the fact. They verify it. Nothing else is revealed. Same idea behind the Verified Fan Programme. 🇩🇰🏒 You are verified. Your identity stays private. Verified without exposing personal data. 🔗 concordium.com/danishicehockey
