Today was the end of the @StarsBBL and the @RenegadesBBL as we know them. Staff were informed the Stars & the Renegades are merging into one brand new Victorian franchise to play at the MCG & likely wear navy blue. The club will be called the Melbourne (insert nickname), but it won't be the Stars. Cricket Victoria has committed to selling its second license entirely. @1116sen @SEN_Cricket @7Cricket

@ThebestOfBryn Averaging just over 10 disposals on over 100 games is pretty damning. Has the ability when he gets it, that the frustrating part.

I really like McCreery, however he needs to find the ball. I don't even know what position he suppose to be playing. Give him some more time in the centre because it isn't going to hurt.

@RoryBurnside Depending on who we get in free agency and trade, if we don’t get anyone and only get kids in draft, I reckon pendles should stay and play the role Luke Hodge did at Brisbane. His influence would be sensational for development. Sidey is done, Howie 50/50 and crisp stays

As much as I love Pendles, Howe and Sidebottom, I think they should retire at season’s end. Maybe Crisp too. They’ve been great for us but if they go on next year they’ll get priority over the younger guys which will hurt the team. Change needed. #afl #forever #sidebyside #gopies

@RoryBurnside There was a lot going on in 2021, 2020 caused a lot of damage mentally and physically at the club. 2021 was a fix and reset year. Where as 1999 we were pure rubbish.

@Mattylangas 1999 was the worst of those 3 years. 2021 was a low point too but 1999 was a very low point.

Perfect conditions yet just 49 runners across seven races at Cranbourne tonight, with a race deleted. Seven at Kyneton yesterday. Moe tomorrow, too. Meeting volumes have been reduced in Vic through summer/autumn, but can clearly go further in next year's dates (as data backs up).

@ClarkyHeraldSun Finally a footy journalist sort of calling out the massive duty of care failure by the club. But didn’t go nearly far enough. The AFL is clearly in damage control as they know how bad a look this is for the game. And all media has been told to spin and hide behind mental health
