@sydney_ev Have 2 Australia days on January and July. Make March 3rd independence day.
3 public holidays > 1
English

Why not make Australia day March 3rd ? the day Australia officially become legally independent nation, removed ourselves from the authority of the UK. has more meaning than Jan26, many European explorers had visited Aus before then. and Aus day was in July previously. #auspol

@MetaThought100 It’s not really the loudness (I sleep with them in my room) it’s much more about the shortened startup motor noise. like sub 2s on the P2S vs the ~30s on the X1C
English

@Orbital_Perigee 7db difference might be enough for me to upgrade. Don't need but want
English

@MetaThought100 The P2S is better, but honestly, I like both of them well enough. The main benefits I’ve noticed for the P2S are just noise and… not being old.

@Xenius I saw but I'm just surprised cos i've never done 5 working sets of any exercise ever.
Currently doing 3x full body hitting same muscles but 1 set of 4-8 reps per exercise so 5 sets seems foreign to me.
English

@MetaThought100 7 sets. You can see the reps/weights around 17s in the video. First two sets were light to warm up.

English

Tuesday gym, pulled forward triceps and chest due to a daytrip to DC area tomorrow.
Record on hammer strength decline press but couldn't get many reps with 3 plates per side, and being the third chest exercise.
Back at it Thursday. Tomorrow will just have to be walks between meetings.

@JoeJustice Did Toyota not take your advice seriously or is there too much organizational inertia to implement it?
English

This nails Toyota’s future coffin.⚰️ lidar dependence can never be as cost effective as vision only. Toyota has just confirmed it will not be an early cost-effective participant in the autonomous driving revolution.

@ryanjaycowan Apple should just make an iPad for car manufacturers so they don't have to fuck around with optimizing for 5000 different screen sizes

@CerebralAestx @Empireenjoyer11 Question should be who has more fatties?
English

@Empireenjoyer11 More calories?! Who has the other BMI: the French or Mississippians?

@karmaycholera I can do 7 hours but not 7 continuous hours. Always wake up at the hours 4-5, fall sleep for 1-2 more hours, wake up and then can't force myself to sleep anymore.

How to Lucid Dream:
I’ve been lucid dreaming for a while now, and I’ve gotten pretty good at it. A lot of you have asked me, "How do you do it?" So, I’m sharing every single technique that’s worked for me.
Get Good Sleep: (Seriously, It’s Important)
Lucid dreaming starts with solid sleep habits. Your brain needs to be rested to dream vividly and let you take control. If you’re tired or stressed, lucid dreaming is not gonna work
Sleep at least 7 hours every night: For me, 7 hours is the magic number. It might be different for you, but I’d say aim for that. If you’re not sleeping enough, your dreams won’t be clear, and lucid dreaming gets way harder.
Fix your sleep if you’re not dreaming:
If you’re not remembering dreams at all, something’s off. Maybe you’re stressed, staying up too late, or messing up your sleep schedule. Regulate the Circadian Rhythm.
No screens before bed:
Put your phone down at least an hour before sleep. That blue light messes with your brain and keeps you from relaxing. Instead, grab a book, chat with someone, or do something chill that’s not digital.
Remember Your Dreams:
You can’t lucid dream if you don’t even remember your dreams, right? Here’s how I trained myself to recall them.
Keep a dream diary:
Put a notebook and pen right where you sleep, next to your bed. As soon as you wake up, write down every single thing you remember about your dream. Even if it’s just a blurry image or a feeling, get it on paper. Do this every day.
Writing down your dreams trains your brain to notice them. The more you do it, the more you’ll remember, and that’s key for lucid dreaming.
Realize You’re in a Dream:
This is the big moment: figuring out you’re dreaming while it’s happening. Once you do, you’re lucid.
Spot the weird stuff:
Dreams are full of odd details clocks might show gibberish, people act strange, or places don’t add up. During the day, get in the habit of asking, "Am I dreaming?" Look around for anything off. In a dream, that question will click.
Do little reality tests:
Try these in real life so they carry over to dreams- Push your finger into your palm. if it goes through, you’re dreaming.
if you look at some text and look back and it changes, you're in a dream.
Stay aware:
There’s no shortcut here. You have to train yourself to notice when things feel dreamlike. It takes time, but you’ll get it.
The first time I realized I was dreaming, I was in my house. I didn’t try anything crazy I just sat in a chair, felt how real it was, and thought, "This is a dream." That awareness is everything.
Stay Calm and Start Controlling:
When you go lucid, it’s tempting to freak out but if you get too excited, you’ll wake up.
Here’s what to do on your first Lucid dream:
Find a calm spot:
In my first lucid dream, I sat in that chair and soaked it in. It was comfy, familiar, and kept me grounded. Don’t rush to change stuff enjoy the moment first.
Make small changes:
Once you’re steady, try tweaking little things. Change your shirt, adjust the room a bit, or shift the scenery slightly. Small steps keep you from waking up too soon.
Build up control:
As you get better, you can do more like flying or big scene changes. But early on, keep it simple or you’ll lose it.
If you feel the dream slipping, stay calm. Getting worked up kicks you out every time.
Regulate Your Lucid Dreaming:
Lucid dreaming is amazing, but it’s tiring. Your brain’s super active, so you don’t want to overdo it.
Limit your lucid time:
If I sleep 7 hours, I try not to lucid dream for more than 2. Any longer, and I wake up feeling wiped out. Your body rests, but your mind doesn’t fully recharge.
Learn to wake up:
When you’re done, you need a way out. For me, I hold my eyes in the dream, like I force them shut tight and then try to open them. That usually wakes me up in the real world. Figure out what works for you.

Day 0: 🥂
Waymo: I bring the AI model, compute, and ride-hailing app.
Toyota: I bring vehicle design and manufacturing.
Day 1: 🧐
Waymo: Based on the fleet data, we need you to tweak the vehicle design and sensors.
Toyota: Based on the fixed production line and process, we need you to tweak the software.
Vehicle incident: ☹️
Waymo: The issue was due to hardware.
Toyota: The issue was due to software.
Customer Data:😡
Waymo: I own the customer relationship.
Toyota: I own the customer relationship.

@wholemars was having a conversation with my barber yesterday about FSD. he told me he was visiting his cousin in Phoenix and decided to try Waymo. his cousin was 10 minutes away. the Waymo took 35 minutes to complete the trip. 😂
English

I wanted to try and recreate this exact route in a Waymo to see how it compared, but it wasn’t able to go to the last drop off spot.
Tesla AI is incredibly under appreciated. There is no other system that can do the route shown with no human input for consumers today.

To those who are still in denial that Tesla has built a generalized pure AI self-driving system... Here is my Tesla performing an hour of ride share pickups and drop offs in Los Angeles.

@ryantanaka @ALScyborg Regained 10 pounds and you still got nice hollow cheeks
English

@MetaThought100 @ALScyborg Thanks for asking. I'm back to where I was about a year and a half ago. I had lost 10 pounds being sick all of last year and now back to where I was.
Generally feeling better, but not 100%
