Hear me out, Mets fans: It’s okay to admit that Carson Benge has looked overmatched through the first six games of the season. The current strategy of splitting at bats between Vientos and Baty during games isn’t sustainable and it’s unfair to both players’ development. This is shaping up to be Carlos Mendoza’s toughest year as manager, and it’s critical that he starts putting his best nine on the field every day. This upcoming series will be telling. It’s time to figure out who needs to be in the lineup and who needs to sit. #LGM
