A revolution is at hand. You can see it. We know it's coming. You know what I mean. People are writing in a breathless way online. Short sentences. Like they have ideas so deep that hey need to say it quicky—and then stop. Think about it. Think hard. You know it: It's probably the result of AI. AI knows what grabs our attention. AI knows that short sentences and paragraph breaks draw us in. It makes us stop. It makes us say, wow, this is big. Are you a part of the revolution? Or are you going to let it slip buy? Join my substack for more great content. (I'm just kidding, of course. But is everyone else's feed filled with slop like that these days? I don't know if I'm getting that because I've been tweeting about AI, or if we're all getting that.)

The number of people I encounter who can’t explain their (generally “good”) jobs and/or what their spouses do is staggering. I’d love to see people try to describe what they actually do for a living in a single 280 character tweet in a way that the average person can understand.

People who didn't experience the pre-2014 liberal American culture don't have any idea how awesome it was. It was creative, fun, gentle, tolerant, funny, idealistic, accepting, supportive, and smart. It was why I didn't permanently move to Japan in the 2000s. Now it's gone.
