Here's a question about Wonders of Sodor. I've not kept up with any fan chat, just the dovetail promos. Does the initial release just have the main line and ffarquhar branch? I think this map shows four other branches, do blame the colourblindness if these aren't lines though 😁

@RhysBDavies He just confirmed rbtl was correct that there was slate there. I think the Skarloey wording about competition is from around 1909, so the msr could have worked the pg slate deposit from 1880 until early 1900s when it ran out maybe?

@ModelsSodor What did Christopher say, exactly, because Wilbert's notes say Skarloey Slate had/has "little local competition" in Sodor - i.e. it was the most substantial slate producer. Mineral traffic near Peel Godred would also conflict with the established history/downfall of the MSR.

More potential (rough) plans: Here are some possible placements for the confirmed slate mines at Peel Godred. The sites I picked are in the three closest hills to Peel Godred. When the mine was opened, the standard gauge did not reach PG. Each is about 5m from the town centre.
