In this study, we observed that a C9ORF72-ALS/FTD dipeptide repeat protein perturbs the phosphorylation of RNA binding proteins and STMN2 expression, and found that SRSF7 sustains STMN2 levels in induced neurons. Congrats to @JulieSmeyers and Karen! #ALS

Out @ScienceMagazine! New tech to activate ALS gene therapies only in the right cells at the right time - Increased safety to have more options for ALS.
We do it by taking advantage of cryptic splicing.
