I grew up in The Netherlands. During my youth it was easily the most pro-Israeli country in Europe. So pro-Israeli that visiting Palestinians would say it was easier to reason with Israelis than the Dutch about the Middle East. Although the Dutch are like others a fundamentally decent people, even a decade ago a demonstration one-tenth this size would have been inconceivable in The Netherlands. It would also have been largely populated by Arab and Muslim immigrants. Yet on Sunday, as confirmed by the police, a quarter of a million Dutch citizens, of all backgrounds, of all stripes and colours, turned out to draw a “Red Line” against the Gaza Genocide. I never anticipated I would witness such scenes during my lifetime, and am genuinely humbled. Israel has irreversibly lost the Dutch public, and future Dutch governments will find it increasingly difficult to hold the line on behalf of the genocidal apartheid regime. We are living in a different world, and it will become a better one.

I lost my mom to this Israeli genocide, blockade, and deliberate denial of proper medical treatment in Gaza. I’m not emotionally ready to say more now, but maybe one day I will. What I can say is that the numbers you see on casualties barely scratch the surface of the true death toll caused by Israel’s genocide.

She described cases of sexual violence at checkpoints and during Israeli home invasions, where women were forced to strip and perform humiliating acts in front of soldiers. Khraim also highlighted how the lack of knowledge and legal definitions makes it difficult for women to identify sexual violence. “We have women telling us that inspection devices were inserted inside them without being able to identify that as rape or sexual violence.”

Please stop repeating the lie that "Hamas killed 1200 people on October 7" Repeating it over and over doesn't make it true. First, the official number of dead is 1139. Second, and most important, we have no idea how many people Hamas killed or whom they killed. It is now an uncontested fact—supported by video evidence, victim and eyewitness testimonies, and journalist investigations—that Israel deployed their Hannibal Directive, killing an unknown "hundreds" of Israelis. It is a fact that ALL of those burned cars (hundreds), are the result of Israeli Apache helicopters incinerating them and everyone inside them. There were at least 28 helicopters, who had to restock their weapons and refuel at least once. Each Apache carries 16 hellfire missiles, 70 Hydra-70 rockets, and 1,200 30mm cannon rounds. And each of them emptied all their munitions on that day. In addition to the Apaches, Israeli tanks fired onto Israeli homes, knowing their citizens were inside. Predictably, there has been no meaningful investigation into what happened that day. Until then, it is dishonest to keep repeating this zionist lie. It is a lie! Just like the 40 beheaded babies were a lie. Just like the mass rape was a lie. The babies in ovens. The cut off breasts. I just shared the link to that BBC documentary because it was removed at the behest of zionists. But it too is problematic because it begins with that same lie. Pay attention, please. Lives are at stake.

Just found this photo of me and Hatem on my phone. It was taken in May 2022. Hatem Al-Za’aneen was my most talented student. He got killed in October 2024 while searching for firewood to help his family survive. It’s still a nightmare for me. He used to wait for me at the end of the classes to walk with me to the school’s gate before everyone went their way. Israel later destroyed the school where the photo was taken, where Hatem studied and where I taught. Hatem, I will never forgive your killer. I will hold your memory in my heart and share it with others forever. And thank you for visiting me in my dreams.

Palestinians in Gaza are now identifying missing individuals by the keys in their pockets after their bodies have decomposed. These are the keys of a Palestinian found near the Netzarim corridor in western Gaza. He was apparently forcibly displaced and was trying to return home when Israeli occupation forces executed him.

The ceasefire may have stopped the bombs, but #Gaza’s struggle continues. Hunger, displacement, and devastation still haunt its people and survival remains a battle.
