@BerniceCBC Forecasts aren’t perfect. Sometimes we get surprised. Not putting students on the road in an unforeseen dicey situation sounds sensible to me. Sure it sucks. Everyone thinks these decisions are yes and no but there are so many factors to consider

Schools function on a lot of ‘good will’ from staff. Offering to do things like staying late, organising things last minute, going on trips. When staff are exhausted or start putting boundaries in place because they’re burning out it’s quite a shock for some people.

@VOCMNEWS What member of government lives in Kenmount Terrace? There are other communities that desperately need new schools, one being Frank Roberts Junior High. Nothing got done with that school over the summer

@Darlene04943566 @VOCMNEWS Frank Robert's is in desperate need of a school. Not only is it old, but it's too small. Its gym is tiny and it doesn't have a cafeteria. Kids are eating in their classrooms.
