Ok, sappy post incoming.
The last time the U.S. Open came to Shinnecock in 2018, I worked as a production runner for FOX Sports. It was my first foray in golf media, and the experience single-handedly inspired me to pursue this career.
Eight years later, I’m covering my 10th major championship for @TheAthletic as a full-time golf reporter.
Full circle moment here for me in Long Island. Can’t believe this is my job.

@FrankLuntz @RandyEBarnett That’s an unfounded assumption. It assumes voters would behave the same way in an election without the electoral college. I think voters in states that are currently non-competitive would be motivated to come to the polls and there’s no way of knowing which party would benefit.
