Please lift the hold on applications filed by Iranian students and professionals who have passed background checks and fully complied with U.S. laws and maintained lawful status throughout their time in the United States.
Many of us have studied, worked, and contributed here in good faith. We do not ask for an acceptance or special considerations, only our applications to be reviewed.

The USCIS pause is leaving law-abiding immigrants already in the U.S. in limbo, people who followed every rule are now losing jobs, work authorization, and even facing homelessness.

This highlights a real contradiction.
People who followed the legal process and did everything right are now stuck in limbo because of the USCIS pause, facing job loss and instability.

But what about people already in the U.S. legally, fully vetted, who followed every rule?

There is a serious breakdown happening inside the system.
Law-abiding, fully vetted professionals already in the U.S. who followed every rule and built their lives here are now being sidelined by the USCIS pause.
This is not about immigration policy at the border. This is a bureaucratic failure harming people who complied with the law and are contributing to America’s economy, research, and infrastructure.
Jobs are being lost, lives are being destabilized, and in some cases people are becoming homeless.
When the system punishes those who followed the law, it undermines fairness and national interest.

There is another side to this that often gets missed.
Many people already inside the U.S. went through the legal process, were vetted, and built their lives here over years.
Right now, the USCIS pause is putting them in a difficult position, with jobs and stability on the line despite full compliance.
