Too much tree felling (like pic below) goes on in Haringey from developers, insurance claims - the tree dept needs closer scrutiny on the way it treats TPO trees like Townsend Yard, N6. They will find it hard to achieve 30% more canopy cover...@mikehakata @perayahmet

@SaveLeaMarshes Anonymous Tree Officer said that anonymous contractors fines for not watering are less than it would cost them to water the trees! Maybe the situation has changed now but council are asking for the public to water saplings now

So @wfcouncil’s Lea Bridge Station development which is not compliant on tall buildings and affordable housing is almost certainly illegal! But @GracieMaeW, @Labourstone and @WFLabourParty call critics NIMBYs and @LeytonLabour block them! @LeeValleyPark lacked courage to object!

'But it's only one tree.' But just 1 tree becomes another tree & another, gradually eroding...from 2013 to 2017 London lost 50,000 Street trees. eandt.theiet.org/content/articl……We have no London figures yet for 2017-2022 but will be similar or worse. Haringey since 2008, 2616 trees.

The trees in #OrientWayPocketPark slowed the flood waters in #LeaBridge last summer. Doesn't it therefore make sense to maintain them and help this little maturing woodland to thrive? @MayorofLondon @SadiqKhan @LDN_environment
