One step closer — the Student Teacher Promotion Act (HB 310) just passed the Senate Education Committee, moving student teacher pay forward.
More work ahead, so let’s keep pushing.

Proud to stand with Senators @ReverendWarnock and @ossoff in the fight to lower housing costs and protect homeownership.
In Georgia, we’re pushing commonsense guardrails so families — not Wall Street — come first.

What a difference four years can make! Since first stepping up to serve District 59, I’m proud of the work we’ve been able to accomplish together.
Honored to serve and work hard for the community I love. Let’s keep going 💪🏽

Crossover Day went late — we advanced good bills, stopped plenty of bad ones, and finally left the Capitol just after 1am.
Here’s a clip from my late night chat with @SarahKallis and @mygpb on Lawmakers.

For my swan song, I worked with the AJC's video team to put together this package giving y'all some insight into how the best-dressed list comes together. Super happy with how it turned out. And huge thanks to the video team. #gapolajc.com/video/news/202…
Running it back. Honored to once again qualify and earn the trust to serve District 59 and the great State of Georgia.
The work continues — and we’re just getting started. Let’s keep delivering for the people.

Georgia, it’s time to fight back.
As governor, I’ll take Trump to court and fight for Georgia’s working families— not the billionaires rigging the system while we pay the price.
We’re taking this message statewide— are you ready? Share if you’re ready to join the fight!
HR 656 passed out of committee! ✅
We have to advance ideas and solutions that put people back at the center of our housing market — not Wall Street firms.

In honor of #BlackHistoryMonth, we want to highlight Georgia Rep. @PhilForGeorgia, the son of immigrants, and a great example of what it means to overcome and help change the systems meant to lock too many families out of the American dream.
The Georgia House passed a range of ed bills parents will want to know about- a bill to put literacy coaches in every elementary school; a cell phone ban for high schools; after care for pre-K; more options for HOPE scholarships. Details in the @ajc: ajc.com/education/2026…
“Homes should be for Georgians first,” said Olaleye. “This bill makes sure families have a fighting chance to put down roots, build stability, and stay in the communities they love.”
Proud to drop the Homes for Georgians First Act — putting people first, not large corporations.
