"We are denying you for the nature of your crime.” This is a statement too many incarcerated people hear again and again when going up for parole because parole boards prioritize unchangeable past factors over demonstrated growth and good behavior in their decision-making.

On Wednesday, the Supreme Court heard arguments on TPS. We were proud to stand with TPS holders, advocates, and allies outside of the Court in support of protecting TPS. There was joy, resilience, and commitment to fight to protect TPS holders who call the U.S. home and help make our communities stronger.

If Texas wants to continue being a leading global economy, they need to enact policies that build a vibrant, welcoming environment for immigrants. Immigrants' economic contributions in the state can't be taken for granted, per a new analysis from @FWDus: fwd.us/news/texas-imm…

Colorado employers need stability, and that requires long-term, bipartisan immigration solutions. This week, COBRT joined Governor @GovofCO and @FWDus at the Governor's Residence for a roundtable with Colorado business leaders on immigration and workforce. Participants discussed the importance of long-term, bipartisan solutions that provide stability for workers and employers alike, including maintaining existing work authorizations and creating new legal pathways to meet workforce needs. Across healthcare, construction, retail, and beyond, Colorado businesses depend on a stable, reliable workforce to grow, hire, and meet demand. Predictable federal immigration policy isn't just good politics. It's essential to keeping our state competitive. We're grateful to Governor Polis and FWD.us for convening this conversation, and we'll continue advocating for the durable, bipartisan solutions Colorado employers need. 🔗 fwd.us/news/governor-… #ColoradoBusiness #Workforce #Immigration

New from @lbarronlopez @MSNOWNews: José, a DACA recipient, should be holding his newborn son. Instead, ICE arranged his return to the U.S., only to arrest him upon arrival. His sisters are heartbroken. They waited for him for hours at the airport. Share Jose's story

Jose Contreras Diaz is a Dreamer. Weeks before the birth of his son, Mateo, he was deported. Fortunately, Jose was able to come home after a judge ordered his return, calling it a “flagrant violation” of the law. The Trump Administration is trying to strip DACA recipients of their legal protections. These are folks who came to the United States when they were children and have contributed to our communities and country. It’s wrong. Dreamers deserve due process and a fair shot at the American Dream.

Jose, a DACA recipient, was unlawfully deported to Honduras in Feb. Thankfully, Jose is coming back to the U.S., but his story demonstrates the ongoing attacks against DACA recipients. Thank you, @lbarronlopez, at @MSNOWNews for continuing to highlight these stories.

Najee, Amy, and ML speak about their experience navigating Missouri’s parole process in the third video in @FWDus's parole story series. Their story reflects that of many incarcerated Missourians who remain in prison long past their parole eligibility date.
