@bcherny This is awesome news. What about weekly limits? Will that be increased as well?

Two big changes for Claude Code today: 5-hour rate limits doubled on Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise, and we’ve removed the peak-hours limits for Pro and Max. Both effective today.

It's been an amazing start to Code w/ Claude! Love hearing what people are building with Claude Code and getting feedback on what we can do better.

@DReshtei I recommend A/B testing them on the same code base obviously in different directories and analyze the outputs to get a better comparison.

Just joined the Claude club. Everyone says it’s absolutely smoking ChatGPT for coding right now. Expert question: what’s the one Claude Code feature I should try today that’ll make me cancel my OpenAI subscription tomorrow?

I use both Claude and Codex and I agree right now Codex is definitely much more efficient token wise, but it's just a matter of time before the usage experience will end up being similar to Claude. We live in a world of limited resources and hundreds of billions have been spent on roll-out of ai and it's still not enought to deal with the weight of demand from everyone using the tech. I believe all the recent resets of Codex Usage is by design because there has been a slight speed up of tokens used in the allotted windows of 5 hour and 1 week that is almost imperceptible. But I'm OCD whe it comes to this stuff.

I'm 22 years old and Claude Code is deteriorating my brain. Every single day for the last 6 months I've had 6 to 8 Claude Code terminals open, waiting for a response just so I can hit 'enter' 75% of the time. And it's doing something to me. In convos with a couple of friends, it's been a point that's been brought up pretty frequently. None of us feel as sharp as we used to. I don't know if it's just us, or others in their 20s are feeling the same thing, but it's something I've been thinking about a lot. P.S. I know this is a problem with my reliability/usage of it, not Claude Code itself, but the effects are real nonetheless

I’ve onboarded Gemini CLI onto the Ai team to help offload some of the work that Claude Code and Codex CLI do on my various projects. Let’s see how this goes and how Gemini compares to Claude and Codex.

@KaiXCreator I think everyone is sleeping on Gemini. They’re laying low trying to figure out how to better monetize their products in this changing landscape. They just committed to $40 Billion for Anthropic. Looks like they’re teaming up against OpenAi

@bhighb9192 @aryanlabde I was wondering if anyone had insight on Gemini CLI and how it compares. All the talk is about Claude Code and Codex CLI. I use both but considering adding Gemini CLI as a third option.

@aryanlabde $20 Codex by far!! Why is this not an option in your list? People should not sleep on Google Gemini with Anti-Gravity either.

I currently use both Claude Code $200 and Codex CLI $200 and have a great workflow with them. I can’t imagine building anything substantial with the $20 Claude subscription. I’m also considering using Gemini CLI and was wondering if anyone has any insight on how it compares in real world usage. Seems like no one is mentioning it.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone use Gemini CLI? I know everyone is either in the Claude Code camp, or the Codex CLI camp, but I wanted to know what people actually think about Gemini CLI based on actual experience and if they've compared it to Claude Code and or Codex CLI in real world use.

@asaio87 Developers actually fits perfectly. Think about Developers when it comes to Real Estate. Most never touch tools. Real Estate Developers basically pull together resources when they find an opportunity. That's basically what we do now. So yeah, we're still Developers.

So we're being told all Software Engineers will be replaced with Ai because Ai doesn't get sick, doesn't take vacations, doesn't get tired, doesn't daydream on the job, and isn't lazy. Ummmmm 😑 Ai does get tired. Context Exhaustion. Ai does get sick. Goes down often. Ai does take their own versions of vacations. Extended downtime. Ai often Hallucinates. Lost in the Middle is a thing. Ai is often lazy. Fast answers to complex problems = poor solutions. Don't get me wrong. Ai is awesome when it works, but when it stops working 😤😤😭😭

Personally I use both as a Pro/Max subscriber and I can tell you from over a year working with these models that they are nearly identical in the ways that matter most. That being said, Codex CLI is more cost effective token wise vs Claude Code. With Codex CLI I can work on multiple large projects simultaneously without seeing my usage drain to fast. With Claude Code I used to be able to do the same, but they started implementing usage caps that are easier to hit and faster. This goes back to my belief that while we are being told we will all be replaced, even Trillion dollar companies have limited resources and the resource limitations aren't going to change over night. I do believe Codex CLI will also start imposing constraints similar to Claude Code. Right now they're just willing to burn through their resources in an effort to get more users to use it. That's why I tell people to Build it now before the $200 plans become the new $20 plans, and the $20 plans will be useless eventually.
