Indian govt websites now appear in Hindi by default (including in Google search results). This is nothing but the systemic imposition of Hindi. South Indians pay more taxes to the GoI, but we are being treated as second-class citizens in this country.

One of the most powerful courts in the world thinks a law student article will lower its majesty? And what good is a law school that can't stand up for its own student against what essentially is judicial autocracy? Are there portals willing to republish his piece? In solidarity

Rishi A. Kumar has shown far more spine in the face of career- and potentially liberty-threatening intimidation than many Bandra lawyers who make crores a month telling Bollywood what stories not to tell. Rooting for this guy.

FCAT was worse than a kangaroo court. The BJP did Bollywood a favour by abolishing it and providing them a right to approach the High Courts directly. The High Courts have a far better track record than the FCAT on issues of free speech: scroll.in/article/991956…

When my film #Sengadal,The DeadSea(2011) was submitted to CBFC for certification, the film was banned stating the reason that this film would ruin the relationship between India and SriLanka. I appealed to the Tribunal and won the certification without a single cut. Of course it was an ordeal but I had to take it up to protect my fundemental rights to free expression and the audience’s right to watch an important story of the times without state censorship. Till date there is no film like #Sengadal that could voice the lives and trials of Tamil fishermen and refugees in India. BJP unconstitutionally abolished the Tribunal(FCAT) in 2022 to build a free way to propaganda films like Dhurandhar and censor films that do not serve its fascist politics. When will the film fraternity wakeup?

A beautiful video. But it feels disheartening to see that an Indian Community is rewarding their own Police with petals for maintaining law and order (which is actually what they are supposed to do daily, without a Court order). Appreciate @DelhiPolice but make sure your police forces dont get involved with Rioters of any community like they did during North East Delhi riots of 2020. Respect for police is in the hands of the police forces only. Law and Order should be the default setting in every society.

Judges romancing with democratic norms in what is essentially a ludicrous monologue, a week after banning a school textbook that had few sentences on ways to address judicial corruption, and simultaneously punishing academics who wrote the fine text

Had a similar terrible experience to replace a DL - this trend of centralising software under the Union Government is a bad idea - the previous policy which allowed individual states to operate their own portals was far better. Telangana had a far better portal before.

Government services are getting from bad to worse! My wife applied for her driving license renewal via the online portal of Delhi government (sarathi.parivahan.gov.in) on 27th Jan 2026 with all required documents & applicable fees, vide Application No. 377470526. Scrutiny of documents was completed on 28th Jan 2026, and all documents were found ok. And that is it! Since almost 2 months now, the application is still in processing stage. It is just not moving while the license is about to expire now. I also raised a grievance in the tool but, as expected, there is no response to the grievance as well for more than a week. What are the options in front of us now? Should we let the license expire and apply for a new one? What happens to the online fees that we paid? Seems there is no physical window where we can check the status since this was an online application. Can someone help? @TransportDelhi @gupta_rekha @dtptraffic @parivahanvibhag @ParivahanSewa @VParivahan
