@DrMadisonSimons @MullMentum Thank you so much! I don’t always dress up, but when I do- apparently I get intense! 🤪😜

Fear gets a voice, not a vote.
#ImposterSyndrome, self-doubt, “what-ifs”, these things all are valid feelings to experience on your growth journey. Acknowledge them, ask them what it is they have to teach you, and move forward.
Your path is ahead.
Happy Growing!

Two weeks ago, my sister announced she was leaving her job of 19 years. Last week, my mother resigned after 31 years. This week, I announce I am leaving academia after 9 years to focus on @MullMentum. Gotta think my Daddy is pretty proud of his 3 “You Girls” as we’ve supported each other through these tough decisions (and I helped Darby write her first resume in 19 years!).
Truly grateful to my students and the supportive colleagues I had along the way. Here’s to the next adventure!

@ProfMull @MullMentum Decisions like this are hard, but when it’s right, it’s right! Congratulations on your next adventure!!

@claycduffy @punkrockedu Reid…I’m tellin’ ya, it’s been a tough slog trying to get him acclimated to taste. We’re up against Nickleback and Haams.
English

@claycduffy Bingo! And both have terrible teams for anyone who loves the Rangers.

Realising most of #GITwitter is no longer here, @MuellerSheWrote and others are using Post, most academicians have gone #AltAc anyway, and so that leaves @AdamKinzinger as the sole reason I return to this app these days. If he leaves…

The unpredictability of #IBD is a huge challenge we all face. But what if a wearable device could signal when our disease course is going off the tracks? What if we had warnings long before we were face to face with our next flare? #crohns #colitis lightscameracrohns.com/2023/06/26/wea…

So, eventually my BG was stable and was able to go home. No known cause of the ketotic hypoglycaemia as of yet but looks a bit like GSD…only I never had this issue until a year ago (no GI resections). Meanwhile, I’m drinking cornstarch until we find the culprit and a plan. 🫠
Never a dull moment.

We considered an insulinoma and BG would 📉 between 48-72 hours. Over-achiever I am, it hit 39 around hour 34. Injected glucagon but only slighly elevated BG. By this time, your girl was tired. And her fingers hurt (something like 50 total finger sticks). Finally got BG up after juice…crashed back to 40.

I know folks in #GITwitter spaces have been researching glucose variability so let me tell you about my year long battle with severe, unexplained, hypoglycaemia as I’m recovering from a wild 72-Hr water fast test.
1) Due to Crohn’s, abdomino-phrenic dyssynergia, and PF dystonia, I’m on a largely liquid diet and have been for years.
2) I’m “normal” weight, normal labs except for elevated LFTs for 2 years with liver scarring on Fibroscan but inconclusive biopsy.
3) That fast…
