@c_alexander19 Look at the sentencing when your skin tone matches the jury. They said Karmelo premeditated the murder of a complete stranger who approached him. But sentenced a white teen that bought a knife to school and killed a student who he was previously beefing with to 10 yrs in prison.

What that jury and judge did to Karmelo has awoken something in me.

George Zimmerman was acquitted because racist jurors said that it's "reasonable" to be afraid of a black kid wearing a hoodie walking home alone at night. White men are out there hunting & lynching black, brown & queer people, raping women and children - and getting pardons & podcasts. Thus, it's reasonable for the rest of us to be suspect of every white men in America and arm/protect ourselves in anticipation of these threats, and the law/society needs to adjust accordingly.

Half these white people keep saying “you didn’t read the case” clearly didn’t read the original report. Several students said Karmelo was invited there and that the twins were harassing him. Then all of a sudden changed their stories. Also an all white jury??? Overly biased.

@Omowale99949437 He didn’t have an all white jury, over half the jury was Hispanic, Indian and middle eastern. Also this wasn’t a racially charged case until the media got hold of it. There were other black kids in the tent, that testified against him

He has multiple grounds for an appeal. He had an all white jury in a racially charged case. The district attorney removed potential Black jurors during jury selection without strong, race neutral reasoning, which is called a "Batson Violation". The judge had errors in his instructions to the jury on what self defense is.

My issue with the Karmelo verdict isnt that he was found guilty and sentenced. Its that in 2026 in maga texas, an all white jury decided the fate of a yng black man. As a REAL American, thats a real issue

@KKurzNHL It's not hard logic. The 2027 was unprotected for Boston but protected for Philly. The Leafs can opt to waive the top 10 condition and give it to Philly. 2028 is unprotected in any scenario.
