@HagertyUK Fiesta is a V reg and it looks new, late summer, so 1979? If it were ‘80 I’d expect an Escort Mk3, which there isn’t. BTW, I’ll take the Volvo please!

I spent 1,558 minutes with my top artist in 2024. Check them out. #SpotifyWrapped @embrace open.spotify.com/wrapped/share/…

@clark_aviation @MSFSofficial I have bought three successive versions of this, which all get dropped and become unsupported. Not going to be sucked into wasting time and money with them again.

English

Factoid Extra: Special props to this 1982 limited edition go that snazzy use of decals - the friend of every late ‘70’s & early ‘80’s car marketing department…

@thecarfactoids @neilmbriscoe @t2stu @DarraghMcKenna @TopOfTheTower @StvCr @autocar @BMMuseum @TriumphSSixClub Looks like the climbing frame from our school playground, same vintage too…
English

Factoid Extra: Quite why Triumph’s technically important Dolomite Sprint was in this ‘dome’ on their 1973 London Show stand is anyone’s guess, but it looked impressive which is probably as good a reason as any…

@thecarfactoids @neilmbriscoe @t2stu @DarraghMcKenna @TopOfTheTower @StvCr @autocar @BMMuseum Is it just me, or is the car already looking a bit knackered. My orange 1975 Mini 850 looked cleaner when I bought it in 1988. At least I remember all the panels being the same colour.
English

Factoid Extra: A great photo, a clever, thoughtful headline & copy that captured the unique spirit of the car - the perfect ad for one of the great small cars…

Strenuous exercise is not easy - it does hurt and it is a challenge. If it wasn't, everyone would be doing it.
Getting your heart properly pumping, for a sustained period of time, does your mind and body the world of good. It is a genuine wonder drug.
I've been involved in thousands of conversations delivering a cancer diagnosis. Please trust me, if there is anything you can do not to be involved in one of those discussions - grab it with both hands. Regular exercise, good diet and a healthy weight is absolutely a way to drastically reduce that risk.
Forming a habit doesn't happen immediately, but when it does become a habit - it will change your life. Whether that's running, rowing, cycling, swimming, gymnastics, squash, football, dancing - whatever!
People will find excuses if they look for them. They're busy with this or that. We've all got busy lives, but it's a question of priorities. If you're up to date with the latest TV series or spend hours mindlessly scrolling through social media, you have time to do 30 minutes of moving every day or two.
For whatever reason, millions of people have depressingly slipped into a state of obesity and seem entirely content. Reverse that, and the country's woeful health would be utterly transformed.
Not just that, mental health referrals are soaring - I guarantee that regular and dedicated exercise would solve a huge number of those very real problems.
I don't believe that patronising mollycoddling helps anyone. We've done it for years, and look where we are.
People will blame the Government, blame the NHS, blame anyone but themselves. Nobody can put your shoes on for you and nobody can sweat for you. Take responsibility!
Exercise hurts. Exercise works.

@ed_mcdonagh @time_nw The second showroom with the glass sides was round the corner in Midcroft, behind the petrol station forecourt, the canopy of which is still there. It also featured in an episode of Metal Mickey!
English

@time_nw What does the sign you've highlighted say? Also, not immediately seeing how with the bigger windows, they've got windows on two sides of the showroom?
