City had 28,000 in the 3rd.

Self deprecating humour means City fans make jokes and sing songs about ’… empty seats at home…’ as opposition fans ridicule our support. I’m not a ‘seat counter’ as such, but this was St. James’ Park last night in the 80th minute of City’s 3-1 win. People in glass houses…

This new mindset of going into games with low expectations is brilliant. City get overrun in the first 30 minutes, go 1-0 down and look as solid as a wobbly blancmange, before going on to deliver a football masterclass in what was supposed to be a hostile environment. Superb 🩵👍🏻

@djwskyblu @ReadButNeverRed How can they have such a strategic plan without manipulating results? They can’t dictate the players clubs buy, or who clubs appoint as manager, so the only conclusion you can come to is they will tell officials how games need to turn out

Former Premier League CEO Richard Scudamore once said, "Without being disrespectful to any club, we have a strategic plan at the Premier League and the strategic plan says putting a new name on the trophy in every six-year period.” It doesn’t chime with City winning 7 out of 10!

@DalaiPalmerMCR Darren England is right/down there with the very worst of @FA_PGMOL employees either as incompetent or something more sinister. I’ll never forget he was on VAR during our Treble season when he chalked off City’s equaliser, citing a Haaland/Fabinho tussle upfield as a foul. CNT!

Among headlines re united's £32m operating profit, the devil is in the detail. They actually reported a pre-tax loss of £2.5m but, more importantly, they dipped further into their overdraft by £130m, all of which was used to pay outstanding transfer fees. They're still skint.
