This year’s Cavs weren’t really close to the team they were last year prior to that trade. Numerous reasons for that. No Ty, injuries, Hunter disappointing, ETC Not to mention that one of those “young stars” was moved to get him. Nice try tho young man.
Niko Jenkins@neekojenkins

@DevaronPerry Running to a team that won 60 plus games the year before and getting a ring off the back of their young stars won’t change nothing lil bro

@ReadOnlykb2u @BuckeyevsTworld Stop it🤣 we lost bc our shitty play calling in the redzone. That game should’ve been a blow out if we go out and air it out. Back2back years Indiana couldn’t score on us

@trife76 @BQuin325 @0uttis Lonzo Ball started 2 of those 3 games 😂 Larry Nance/DeAndre Hunter also started one of them. Care to see where they are now?

@AndreB19609064 @BuckeyevsTworld The score was 13-10 because IU was a great football team. Stop looking at the IU football brand as a whole and look at the 2025 IU team. IU isn't a punching bag anymore.

@ReadOnlykb2u @BuckeyevsTworld You blame Hartline but we still ran the same offense the following game🤣 Day was calling plays all season. Why are we even relying on that kicker? Why is the score 13-10???? Cope bro, that was an embarrassing loss on top of that Miami game.

@AndreB19609064 @BuckeyevsTworld They aren't going to change the entire O around in a bowl prep period. Not to mention, you saw how bad the O line was in both the Miami and IU games... you don't think part of the philosophy all year was to mask that?

@AndreB19609064 @BuckeyevsTworld I was upset about it, but I'm not going to lose my shit over a loss to a team that literally went 16-0 and was the first team to do that since like 1890.

@ReadOnlykb2u @BuckeyevsTworld How could you not be pissed off about that game? That was our opportunity to go Back2Back!! You must be satisfied with that fluke natty. When you have a stacked roster and a nasty defense like that you got to win it all. And not lose bc of our Dumb HC

@FeartheFroPod That was my other thought, that Knicks game seems like a really big skew on the numbers. I don't think the Cavs played exceptionally well either, the Knicks just shot REALLY poorly.

I think my real concern from seeing this laid out would simply be that the Knicks demolition was so dominant defensively that shifted the overall sample in a manner that appears to be better than it actually is when you factor in the small sample size of only 7 games.

Valid point, but the data is only slightly worse. Here is the def rating since James vs top-10 teams (*by net rating*): 2/9 (DEN): 119.4 2/20 (CHA): 125.6 2/22 (OKC): 123.5 2/24 (NYK): 100 2/27 (DET): 115.1 3/3 (DET): 117.2 3/8 (BOS): 118.5 Total: 116.2 (7th in NBA)

@FeartheFroPod Tough to say because they only really played a couple of those teams post-ASB, and it's a really different team since the deadline. Hornets, Thunder, Knicks, Pistons if I recall. They gave up 111PPG in those games post-ASB

Cavs Defensive Rating Against Top-10 Teams (*Top-10 teams as determined by net rating*) 2024-25: 117.7 (12th in the NBA) 2025-26: 115.6 (6th in the NBA) Does that align with the eyeball test for you?

Cavs fc why raptors over hawks ? Raptors have a very elite defense mixed with a bunch POA and annoying guards. Yeah they’re a worst offense but our issue is teams that force turnovers on us, and have a bunch of speed. Vs the hawks through 3 serious quarters we had 4 TO.

@AndreB19609064 @BuckeyevsTworld 1. Yes, red zone was a large part of the loss. 2. It's more on Hartline than Day. Also helps having a kicker who can do what his job title suggests. 3. Indiana was still a really really good team, and I'm not going to get torn up about it like we lost to 4-8 Purdue.

@ReadOnlykb2u @BuckeyevsTworld Put context to it… we lost 13-10 with a million failed redzone attempts. We lost bc of Charmin Day

@BuckeyeNatty Quite frankly he was poorly coached, and it led to him getting skittish in the pocket and panicking.

If Michigan can get Underwood to clean up his mechanics & just as important, use his legs... he'll have a really good sophomore season He's an athlete... I never understood why Michigan didn't lean into that more last year & ask him to run He runs = improves run game, opens up more in the air
NCAAF Nation@NCAAFNation247

● QB Spotlight ● Bryce Underwood - Michigan • Underwood had flashes last season as a True Freshman where you could see the upside and potential and he also had moments where you said "typical Freshman mistake". If Michigan wants to get back to the #CFBPlayoff they'll need Underwood to take that next step in his development and fine-tune his passing abilities. Last season he threw for 2,428 yards 11 TDs 9 INTs completing 60.3% of his passes. He also rushed for 392 yards 6 Touchdowns.

@IsaacOkoroFan Side note, if you asked me in October, I would've thought a Ball - Tyson - Hunter - Wade - Mobley lineup would've been one of the best defensive lineups in the NBA 😂

Cavs Raptors would be the fastest reality check Toronto fans have gotten since the LeBronto days. Congrats on beating the Cavs twice when Cleveland’s starting PG those games is already out of the league 4 months later😭😭😭
jack@TheCavsJack

The #Cavs starting lineups in 2 of the 3 Cavs/Raptors games this season In the other one, their only available true PG was Craig Porter Jr
