#CAB3 has been resoundingly given a thumbs up in Bulawayo, the heart of the opposition, as reports indicate that the majority of attendees raised points in support while a few disagreed. Of the 39 people who contributed 32 supported while only 7 opposed. The Bill indeed has commendable ideas which anyone refraining from the poison of political polarity or factionalism will support. Unfortunately many recycle copied arguments without investing in personal interactions with these documents. Even more, social media doesn't attend these hearings! What I'm proud of is that there have been no reports of violence. That is commendable and a manifest show of our matured democracy as a country. Everyone supporting Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 should remember that the process is already tainted by these actions of busing people, as happened in Bulawayo. The consultation for Bulawayo was meant for residents of Bulawayo, not for imported crowds designed to manufacture consent. Zimbabwe will remain trapped in a permanent crisis if even the most basic democratic processes are manipulated in this way.

The last time Marcus Rashford completed 90 mins for Barcelona was in 2025 in the Copa Del Ray against a third division“Guadalajara”. The last time he had a g/a was 10 games ago. The last time he had a 7.0 rating was 7 games ago and he only played 18 minutes in that game against Villarreal. I’m tired of hearing the “academy boy” bullshit from everyone especially the pundits. Marcus Rashford is just a rotation player or a backup to Raphinha and suddenly, the whole English media is quiet about it. (No media critics, no drama from him camp, no stupid interview, no public stunt and no heavy criticism on the manager). Congratulations to Zimbabwean legal scholar Dr Justice Mavedzenge on his appointment by the President of Seychelles to lead an independent commission of inquiry in that country. Dr Mavedzenge recently debated the legality of Zimbabwe’s Constitutional Amendment No. 3 being passed without a referendum with Professor Jonathan Moyo, where he came out on top of the argument and helped many people understand how constitutional amendments work. He is a Professor of Law at the University of Cape Town. It is encouraging and inspiring to see compatriots being recognised for their intellectual abilities, and as Zimbabweans, we should celebrate such achievements.
