Obstruction of law enforcement. If it were the men in blue, ice agents, FBI, or any other law enforcement whom were making an arrest or detaining someone and someone else put themselves in the way, even an elderly woman...that is on the citizen. There's a split moment reaction that law enforcement have, wether they are local or federal, to make sure they are not about to be harmed or that the person in question will not harm others or themselves. It's a staple in society to not touch or posture towards any law enforcement because this gives them the authority to act on a "preserve the peace" reaction which could include tackling or pushing back an aggressor to avoid the possibility of a weapon being exposed or harm to any individual around them. Even old lady's could be carrying due to the second amendment. However the video clearly shows she put herself in harms way and when it comes to law enforcement "tackling" an aggressor ( the man) this is a common tactic to quickly deescalate a possible violent action including ergonomic aggression (hands and feet swinging) to knives or guns possibly coming to play in the aggressors hands or the crowd that is against the action. With all that is happening, to see the restraint that these agents have in regards to how they are treated is commendable. It only takes a few in a crowd to make the crowd unstable and violent. It's human psychosis to "get hyped" when they see others in the crowd do something violent and extreme. Law enforcement know this and utilize crowd control devices to mitigate the possibility of an outright swarming of a crowd that could lead to the deaths of many on both sides. We have seen this time and time again and having majority of the violent acts be apart of the crowd and not the other way around shows you the constraints the law enforcement have to protect the whole crowd so all citizens protesting and all law enforcement may go home at the end of the day.
