徹夜祈禱あかし：牧会者の道を歩む両親に従い、頻繁に引越しを繰り返したため、新しい環境に適応することに苦労しました。誰に対しても完全に心を開くことが難しかったのです。それでも、心の奥底で確信できる事実が一つだけありました。 それは、真の父母様と天の父母様が常に私のそばにいて、私を信じ、頼りにしてくださっているという事実です。ですから私にとって、天の父母様、真の父母様、そして教会は、人生の切り離せない一部となりました。時が過ぎ、進路を決める時期がやってきました。 しかし、当時は明確な方向性がなかったため、天心苑で切実に祈りました。「父母様を助けたい」という心の奥にあった漠然とした思いが、突然、心を満たし、どうすれば両親を助けられるかを考え始めました。その時、UPAが、真のお母様によって直接設立された、次世代の公職者を育成するための訓練コースであることを知りました。 そして直感的に、この道こそが自分の使命であると感じました。そこで公職の道を歩む決意をし、UPAに入学しました。在学中、学業と信仰の両立において、困難にぶつかり諦めたくなる時もありました。 しかし、ただ父母様の助けになれるという事実そのものに感謝を感じながら、今日までみ旨の道を歩んできました。そんな中、順風満帆だと思っていた私の人生に、予期せぬ試練が訪れました。弟が霊界に聖和したという突然の知らせでした。 最初にその知らせを聞いた時、抑えきれない憤りと悲しみが噴き出しました。「天の父母様、私はこれまでみ旨のためにすべてを捧げてきたつもりです。なのになぜ、このような試練を私に与えるのですか？」これまでの人生すべてが否定され、信仰の骨組みそのものが崩れ落ちるような感覚でした。 ですから、私が今回の修練会に来た理由は明確でした。自分が直面している状況について天の父母様に切実に問いかけ、崩れた信仰を回復したかったのです。その思いを胸に、霊性修練会に参加しました。 修練所に足を踏み入れた瞬間、お父様が「よく来たね」と言ってくださっているような気がしました。そのため、言葉では言い表せない期待感と、必ず天から答えをいただけるという確信が湧いてきました。しかし期待に反して、天心苑で切実に祈っても、答えが得られないように感じました。 徹夜精誠の中で「お父様、お母様」と切実に呼びかけても、何も感じられませんでした。さらに追い打ちをかけるように体が痛み始め、心はどん底にまで落ちました。時間が経つにつれ、心の中に疑念が忍び込んできました。 「天の父母様は、本当に私の悲しみを知っておられるのだろうか？ この修練会に来た決断は正しかったのだろうか？」その時、拘置所にいらっしゃる真のお母様が食口たちに送られたお言葉を聞きました。「愛する食口の皆さん、勇気を出してください。天は間違いなく生きておられ、今この瞬間も働いておられます。信仰の目で見れば、天は決して沈黙してはいません」 その言葉を聞いた瞬間、抑えきれない涙が溢れました。それまで、天は私の叫びに対してただ沈黙しているだけだと思っていましたが、実は私自身が心の扉を閉ざしていたのだという事実に気づきました。 天の父母様の観点から見つめ直すと、申し訳ない気持ちでいっぱいになりました。人類の堕落以来、失った子供たちを探し出すために、6000年という永遠に等しい長い時間を、髪を振り乱しながら摂理を導いてこられた天の父母様。その天の父母様の事情を知っておられるからこそ、どんなに苦しくても諦めることができなかった真のお母様。 その心情に共鳴し、私は泣いて、泣いて、泣き明かしました。満身創痍のお体で陣頭指揮を執りながら、心配する子供たちに「私のために祈らないでください」とおっしゃったお母様。わずか17歳の若さで「二度と蕩減の歴史を後世に残さない」と約束された真のお母様。 お母様のそれらすべての姿がパノラマのように一瞬で脳裏をよぎり、私は痛悔と悔い改めの涙を流しました。その出来事以来、修練会に臨む態度は完全に変わりました。答えを求めて懇願する前に、天が何を望んでおられるのか、天の声を聞こうと努力しました。 敬拝を捧げ、自分を低くし、さらに自分を空っぽにしていくと、天は私の空いた心に大きな愛を満たしてくださいました。さらに、精誠を捧げる中で、私は一人で歩んでいるのではなく、共にいてくれる絶対善霊たちと、そして弟が一緒に参加しているのだということを悟りました。ある日、肉体が疲れ果て、階段を一歩上がるのさえ困難な時がありました。 その瞬間、「背中から私を導いてくださる私の親」という歌詞が自然と心に浮かび、無限の感謝の念が込み上げてきました。このように、絶望と憤りで満たされていた私の心は、感謝と喜び、希望と歓喜で満たされました。天の父母様が私に試練を与えたと思っていましたが、その試練を通して、天の父母様は私の信仰の根をより深く張らせてくださったのです。 今、私は確信を持って言えます。霊界は常に私たちと共にあり、精誠の条件が満たされれば、天は必ず応えてくださると信じています。前方の道が見えない真っ暗闇の中でも、天の父母様は新しい摂理を準備しておられると信じています。
