@Jim_Keoghan Newcastles net spend for the past 5yrs up to this season has been more than Liverpools. To make out Liverpool just have it easy as an elite club and this has always been so, is just a rubbish take. Wages have bonuses built in so pay out more when the team is successful

@Roundall You've spent almost a billion in transfer fees alone in the last 10 years. Way more if you include wages. I don't think the Coutinho money is covering all of that. The club's commercial revenue plays a huge part. And that was your head start

@Jim_Keoghan But Liverpool were still abiding by FFP and frequently lost top talent. Funded new players through sales. It was a decent manager that improved standards on the pitch and can now class us a a top elite club, not having an open cheque book.
