@DrMeghanNorris No framework that I know of! Easy to see between generations but also within a person’s life span. Maybe a life history perspective for the latter?

Have been percolating a lot about why/when/how skills become obsolete. E.g., how to use a rotary phone is obsolete-can't help you anymore. Knowing how to program SPSS Syntax still matters--we can access the back-end. Stick-shift is maybe in the middle-you can still change gears🧵
