@JustinCLeto @SNYtv You don't really know that. The players think otherwise. They support him. I have issues with his management of pitchers and advanced thinking on moves/ lineups sometimes but the players love him and support him. So you are talking based on what? A little birdie told you?

@recognizedpatte @LuisChevalier17 @Roger774501171 When you have Judge's power a lot of things that would be outs for other players go for HR's or Xtra base hits. He doesn't have to make solid contact. His "pop ups" go yard. When you have Arraez' bat speed you have to barrell it to get those hits. So that's the idea here.

Luis Arraez , in today’s society because he doesn’t hit the ball 450 feet ,so many sleep on him and laugh smh. The man is a pure hitter. I’d take him on my team any day of the week , and twice on Sunday.

@artiebucco_chef Of all the moves he made the Tyler Rogers deal last year was the one that pissed me off the most. 3 players under control until 2031 for 2 months of a 34 y/o middle reliever. Tidwell has very solid potential, great stuff. Butto had an excellent 2024. WTF was he thinking?

@JustinCLeto @SNYtv I would add counseling and development of young players' mentally and physically so they can maintain confidence but continue to improve. Recognize early injury in a player and address it head on before it affects the teams performance and possibly the player's future health.

Please explain what you perceive that role to be. Here’s what I think: (1) ensure the team is prepared, (2) address individual issues related to injuries, exhaustion, or other personnel related problems, (3) send out the most competitive lineup daily, (4) create a culture where there is predictability on a daily basis, guys know their roles and they are bought in, (5) avoid confusion with daily lineup changes, (6). Bench guys that make mental errors and are unprepared regardless of their superstar status so as to ensure accountability to the team and themselves, (7) manage each game to win, and only in a very obvious defeat throw in the towel and raise the white flag, (8) address the media with a sense of urgency and fire and call out the team when they aren’t performing, (9) defend the players to bad umpires, (10) demand the absolute best of the players each day and start with yourself by demanding the bed of yourself, (11) resist the desire to be friends with the players…be approachable but not equal, (12) fucking win. Did I miss anything

@NUCLRGOLF @pbpost @TWlegion The problem is he most certainly DOES need them with all the injuries/surgery he's had. And no doubt he's taking PEDs as well. That's probably the main reason he did not submit to urine sample. Better to lose your license than be labelled a cheat.

🚨🐻🗣️ #NEW — Jack Nicklaus offers his support for Tiger Woods, with the 18-time major winner saying he doesn’t think Woods would be taking painkillers if he didn’t need them. (Via @pbpost) “Sometimes you get, you know, too far down the line and you just need somebody to help you. I think he probably needs some help. And we all want to help him. We're all on his side.” “Obviously I feel bad for Tiger. I like Tiger. I don't just like him, I like him a lot. He's been taking painkillers for a long time and I don't know how much pain he's in because I just don't know.” “But I don't think he'd be taking them if he didn't need them.” ➡️ Thoughts on Jack’s comments?

@ottowner @theteacherchris It's already a problem. He's an instant out and this lineup badly needs someone who can hit in that position rather than someone who hits badly.

Jim Carrey made his Tonight Show debut with Johnny Carson in November 1983. He was 21. He runs through several impressions here. Which one is your favorite? They are all really good, but I have to go with Michael Landon.

@JustinCLeto @SNYtv A manger isn't a cheerleader. They have a role. Do I have to explain what that role is? It's not to motivate professional veteran players to perform. If they need a cheering squad to get hits there are 40K fans in the stadium to do that.

@JustinCLeto @SNYtv Good players don't need to be led around on a leash. They are self motivated and perform. Semien would suck as a hitter even if George Patton was standing behind him telling him "swing batter swing!" . They don't need a team captain, need a more balanced lineup/better hitters.

@SGSafran @SNYtv It wasn’t bad construction. This is a very talented team. They just lack a leader that demands the most of them.

Is Pam Bondi going to go quietly? It’s not her nature. And she knows things about Trump—not just Epstein, but the investigative leads that were uncovered by Jack Smith in the classified docs case—that could make real trouble for the president who fired her.

@RotoGut That ball hit the 3rd base bag. Not Chapman's fault. Chapman is a lot better at 3rd than Bichette that's for sure so glass houses you know.

@ppcClickShark @martinonyc Well to be fair he hit 27Hr in 111 games 2 years ago so the potential is there obviously. You are not going to get that from Polanco or Bichette no matter how much you pay them.

@martinonyc What do professionals hired to analyze and or help Mark Vientos with his defense know about hitting 25-30 home runs?

Literally everyone who has worked with or spent time watching Mark Vientos working on his defense thinks he can be a big league 1b, and that he can hit 25-30 home runs per year

@martinonyc Vientos looked good at the plate last night and made a nice diving stop at 1b. Might be a good idea to give him some reps at first. I'd sit Semien and put Baty at 2nd and see if either of these two can establish themselves finally. Let Polanco dH.

@NYNJHarper He is now the most expensive middle reliever/mop up man in MLB history. With the stuff he has now that's what he's capable of (if he stays healthy which is questionable). More likely he needs surgery in the off season to clean things up and then 35?

Manaea saved the Mets' pen in 7-2 loss in SF after Peterson's ugly start but doesn't seem to be making any progress re velocity: 89-91 mph in 74-pitch stint. Gave up 4 hits, including Devers HR, and 2 walks, finessed his way out of trouble. At age 34 this may be who he is now.
