I have the Amex Gold but after a recent trip to Portugal I’ve realized that Amex is hardly accepted anywhere. I was planning to downgrade to a fee free card but Amex said I could only downgrade to an Amex Green which has a $150 annual fee. So I’m just going to close the card.
