It's time to prioritize the long term future of this team. A guy like Jakob Pelletier should be in the lineup every night over guys who aren't going to be in Calgary beyond this season. Dustin Wolf should get the start. Connor Zary should be playing with better players.

One thing that bothers me when we talk about rebuilding is that no one ever mentions the fact that a lot of teams have had a success bottoming out for a few years to acquire elite players. Being bad for a few seasons doesn't automatically mean you're never going to get out of it
