"That ball is off the property!" The only real "option" really wide fairways provide is the option to hit it way offline and still be in the fairway. Wide fairways are not a great test of driver skill. They also cost A LOT more money to maintain. If you are concerned about "sustainability", the environment, and cost, you should not be in favor of courses with massive fairways (and greens).

@SamGGStewart @RingOfFireCGY Like a F1 driver? As in Formula One? Classic Calgary trying to push out all of their talent by any means necessary, even if it’s moving them to an entirely different sport. This franchise is a bigger joke than the Yotes.

@RingOfFireCGY He's been forced to become a playmaker after 19 & 13 left the team, when he's best suited to be a F1 where someone can create space for him to finish. Probably not what the team needs is moving forward as there's no one to really maximize his potential like in 22'. (maybe Zary?)

In the summer the rumour was that the Flames offered Elias Lindholm an 8 year deal between $8.5M-$9M a year. $68M-$72M deal. What is he going to get as a free agent if he continues to play like this? 7x$7M? 7x7 is a $49M deal. $23M less than what he could have got in Calgary.

Let's talk about the golf distance rollback for a moment, shall we? Yesterday Rory posted the screenshot below regarding distance. The thing Rory doesn't acknowledge is that it's not 5-10 yards, it's 1-2 clubs when you combine the driver distance loss with iron distance loss. Looking at my own game (image 2 below), I will be hitting ~2 clubs more into most par 4s. I can tell you that I'm not nearly as good with a 7 iron as I am with a 9 iron, so I am going to shoot higher scores. How will I combat this? 1. I'll move up a tee box when I can, but this is not realistic at all courses. Many older courses have 3 sets of tees, which are long, medium and short. Often the shortest set of tees would be way too short for enjoyment and these courses certainly can't afford to go build all new tees. 2. I will try to stay in shape and get stronger. 3. I will see what gains I can make through equipment, maybe trying lower spinning irons and sacrificing some control to hit shorter irons into greens. It's disingenuous, to an outright lie, to state that this rollback will not affect amateurs and every day players.

That’s a great question @Top100Rick , and a tough one! Much better conversation piece to make birdie on both of those holes but shooting the lower score is the ultimate objective in this wonderful game. 🤔 let’s see what my followers think? Thoughts anyone?
