@K_Niemietz There is a strong conservative case for arts subsidy. Maybe, with a bit of squinting, one that would be thought persuasive at the IEA. Almost every successful, confident polity throughout history has publicly funded the arts.

You deserve to have your subsidies cut. Pay for your own hobbies.

This is apropos of the increasingly emboldened anti-car-in-city lobby that has been living rent-free in my mind

My first tweet in a very long time is going to be on the subject of cars in city centres and how their users absolutely shouldn’t be penalised any more than they already are
