I just helped someone shut down an AWS account that was billing them close to $10k/year. The previous person set up services that were way too big for their needs. Everything is now running at a cost of about $100/year.

@angelaroosee In the tech world, most layoffs are because management over-hired in the past, or has no idea what to do with their programmers. The layoffs being blamed on AI improving efficiency are largely "AI washing" - just using AI to provide cover.

Is AI going to replace people and jobs or replace people who don't know how to use it?
