@thiagochareti As someone who lost her mother, this episode was always the hardest for me to watch and I often skip it when rewatching the series because there is no other show or cinematic experience that portrays losing someone you love as realistically as this episode did. 💔

i couldn't care less WHY they canceled the buffy reboot. it was clearly never gonna live up to the og. we need new stories, not nostalgia cash grabs. i'm tired of this greedy reboot mania like no one wants to be creative anymore

just came back to celebrate a bit and to talk about how powerful our manifestations were. the reboot being cancelled is a bless and buffy’s legacy won’t be tarnish. spuffy remains endgame and untouchable. we keep winning. their legacy is safe 🫂

buffy's ending allowed her the choice to be free of the burden and loneliness of being a slayer, that cathartic finale would've been ruined regardless of where they took the revival. let her be free, let her be happy, never threaten to touch her again

@roxana_hadadi So many good series get rebooted and barely any of them come out with anything remotely close to the greatness of the originals. It’s rumored it wasn’t put through because the vibe didn’t match the original series so I believe Hulu saved us.

Hulu not moving forward with the Buffy revival -- mixed feelings but I'm sad that so much other crap gets rebooted, but not Buffy actually w/ Sarah Michelle Gellar. maybe we are being saved from bad nostalgia bait but I am still a little confused as to what TV even is these days.

Before we blame @hulu entirely, consider the odds the show was facing. The original Buffy was a cultural phenomenon. Expectations were impossibly high. Zhao is an incredible filmmaker, but her style is naturalistic, quiet, and contemplative. The original was witty, loud, and emotionally chaotic. That’s a hard tonal bridge to build. Maybe the pilot just didn’t work. Sometimes cancellation isn’t a betrayal. It’s mercy.

The ‘BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER’ sequel series is no longer happening. Hulu has decided not to move forward with the series.

@BungalocityMatt @Awake_IL Being homeschooled let me grow up being myself, and I made real friendships because of our actual shared interests, not just because we happened to be in the same class.

@BungalocityMatt @Awake_IL You know what's funny? People worry homeschoolers won't learn to be social, but I've seen how rough school "socialization" can be. Kids feel this constant pressure to fit in, to dress a certain way, to like certain things - even if it means burying who they really are.

@BungalocityMatt @Awake_IL I've noticed kids from public schools often get stuck in their cliques, and it can be really hard to break into those circles if you're even slightly different. Being homeschooled, I wasn't boxed in like that - I made friends with people of all ages and walks of life…

Update: Anyone who has left LA and headed south. You are welcome at our restaurant, 16600 Pacific Coast Highway, 92649. We have a large parking lot, you can stay as long as you need and camp out. We will provide free meals for all of those affected.
