After 8 years of serving as head 🏀 coach at Harrisburg HS, I was fired in March of 1990.
The month prior, the same school board hired me to be their head track coach.
Chad Lakatos was a sophomore on that 1990 🏀 team.
Chad would go on to become a track all-stater, win a state trophy (3rd 1991), and anchor a 4x4 in 48.2
Now he’s won five state championship rings.
