@LloydCymru Because of boundaries, I'm not sent to my nearest polling station and because it's at least a 7 mile rural (slow) round trip, I stubbornly cling on to my postal vote (as a hangover from being a carer with limited time). Dull but true.

I doubt anyone cares but there will be approximately 2,300 polling stations across Wales for the Senedd election.

Sometimes it’s easy to forget that the issues within the NHS in Wales are not uniform across the service, and indeed across the country…

@LloydCymru My usual voting practice was to vote for the person and not the Party because sometimes you have good candidates who don't sit within a Party that you would normally support, so I agree. I think the new system has many flaws. We'll see, I guess.

Every passing day I get more and more annoyed that they chose a closed-list system for the Senedd election. A total power grab by the parties from the electorate. I want my vote to represent a specific approval of a person or people, not contentment with anyone on a list. The next Welsh Government should make it an immediate priority to replace the system with Single Transferable Vote for 2030. Power to the people!

@LloydCymru In Ynys Môn. We've only received Conservative and Reform so far. Postal votes are not far away, so I'm surprised not to have had more, not that election mailings generally change a voting intention of course.

@LloydCymru Diolch. I'm politically engaged and had to read it a few times to understand it and even now, I couldn't confidently explain it to anyone else.

In the next couple of weeks, I'm planning to put out a video explaining (completely factually) how the new Senedd voting system works. I often get replies and see Tweets from people who are very politically engaged who don't know how it works, purely because no one has explained it properly.

@LloydCymru 9.5% 2024 8.5% 2025 Proposed 5.1% this year but with large use of reserves.

@LloydCymru You might already know that the independent candidate (who was a well-known local) had to withdraw. Had he not done so, the vote may have split further. Also remember Llinos Medi's council seat went Indie when she stood down. Ynys Môn is seeing some hefty CTax increases lately.

I must be honest, I hardly know anything about this ward. Would anyone from Ynys Gybi or nearby be able to enlighten me on what sort of an area it is and why it might have voted this way?
