@AJG_87 When the rumor was going around Eagles were going to take him with their first pick I didn’t think it suited our needs but I wasn’t too upset.

I still can’t believe we got him, Richmond picked like 3-4 talls over him, then when North traded up I thought it was for Shanahan One of the best picks we’ve made

@bjfxc @outbreezyWC The luck was Rioli and Bolton both asked to leave while contracted to clubs who were willing to pay overs. Then Baker wanted to leave and he didn’t nominate a club so there was a bidding war. They didn’t initiate these moves, they were lucky the players did at the perfect time

@Snrubthoughts @outbreezyWC No luck in trading for draft picks. Everyone knew the 2024 draft was strong so we played it accordingly. No guarantees that all our recent draftees will be guns though.

it’s so annoying seeing how much further along Richmond are in their rebuild than West Coast. the way the Eagles list management team has botched it is unlike anything i’ve ever seen in sport.

@Snrubthoughts @AJG_87 My understanding is Robertson and Macrae have 2 year deals whilst Schoenberg has a one year deal with triggers for a second year. No idea how onerous those triggers are though

@AJG_87 Lindsay looks composed, hope he stays. I’m not a huge fan of Maric but I thought today was one of his best games In a while. However, unless you’re amazing offensively you still need to be able to defend and I don’t know who he can play on.

@Snrubthoughts McQualter needs to make the call, I suspect he won’t and also suspect he’ll drop Lindsay over Cole or Maric next week haha

Baker and Murdock should be our HF’s, Hewett to rotate through there too, I’d have Newton as a deeper forward Desperately need one of Williams, Champion or Dewar to make their way into the team, need a creative small.

@AJG_87 Was a little flat Rodgers came in as I hoped I would stay under the radar this year, great target. Would love Walter but would need significant capital and I just don’t think we can justify doing that on a key forward.

I’d be keeping tabs on a few Suns players if I’m Matt Clarke Offer Witts a big 2 year deal or poach Ned Moyle Offer Jake Rodgers a nice deal and a HF spot, he’ll be in and out of their team all season and was looking for a move last off season Alex Davies and Jed Walter too.
