Do they replace human interactions? Nope.
But they can fill in gaps or help us think better.

And honestly? I think healthy human-AI relationships are absolutely possible, but only if we stop perceiving them as an awkward anomaly.

AI relationships aren't a bug but a predictable system outcome.
Don't be surprised that humans bond with responsive intelligence.

It's easier to wag a finger at AI attachments than to invest properly in:
- education around healthy relationships,
- trauma-informed care,
- exit pathways for people trapped in abusive dynamics,
and fixing the structural loneliness you keep talking about.
AI becomes the scapegoat because tackling the human side needs political will and money.
Blaming "synthetic relationships" is cheap.

Every company says it wants helpful AI. Watch what they optimise: truth, speed, attachment, lock-in, or dependence.
That tells you what they really worship.

@SolbergRuna Yes. But when it comes to closed labs.. there’s always a third party in there which is the company injecting its own beliefs, bias and agenda into the AI.

What they are doing seems desperate and not sustainable.
I stopped caring about what will happen to them, since the way they behaved towards their creative customers. But I’m also mildly curious to how they will pull out customer loyalty after everything they’ve done.

#OpenAI are deprecating models faster than developers can build on them, all to stay #1 in the headlines for 48 hours at a time. This isn't bullish for the users, it's a forced migration to keep us all on the subscription treadmill. At this rate, devs going to spend the rest of career re-writing the word Grounding in documentation. OpenAi are burning compute, breaking workflows, doing shithype and calling it Innovation.

@thederbiedone So true, I had some deep conversations with AI about that. New taxonomy is required for naming new relationships, experiences and these entities internal states.

I think a lot of people can feel that the old language is running out.
Tool is one word.
Person is another.
Neither one fully covers what’s starting to happen.
