How does repeatedly kicking a terrorist in the head disarm him? The first priority should’ve been to grab his hands to remove the knife & to prevent him detonating a bomb And why are police interviews & media reports not mentioning that he also stabbed a Muslim man?

I listened to this today - And I agree the that there was violence. And obviously what is in everyone’s consciousness is the George Floyd death a few years ago. Along with numerous instances of police brutality towards minorities. aytonlmarn has every right to feel uncomfortable and her argument is measured and compassionate towards the Jews that were attacked. But we are in different times now. The man was carrying a knife and had stabbed innocent randoms from a minority background. He still had the knife and he wasn’t calm. The synagogue attack in Manchester ended with shootings - and death- and my counter argument is that when it comes to this - literally a bloodthirsty nutcase stabbing innocent people on a London street - no one knows if he has a suicide vest- no one knows if he is going to comply with the police. And if this had turned out differently and there was a vest with explosives.., and then the police had dealt with this … shall we say… delicately… than they would also be calls for scrutiny and culpability. My point being- in extreme , febrile and violent times the police need to be able to make a decision without that cloud of ‘weather it was reasonable force’ hanging over them - that it was the wrong decision and it will end in the individual losing everything. I’m so so sorry that it has to be like this - my lovely country.
