Then when someone says, “Oh, but I know there’s CCTV at the address,” it would cause rumours too.
Bad comms from the police but nothing out of the ordinary.

The police are NOT helping themselves here they say they do not want to release the CCTV because it could "prejudice the investigation"
NOT releasing it will do that anyway because already I'm seeing everyone say "well they couldn't wait to say the guy they originally arrested was white" and now they don't want to release the CCTV because of this..
I'm sorry but the police don't want people to speculate they should not have mentioned this and just say investigations are ongoing and we appeal for any information etc.

Police don't want to release cctv footage... "At this time we have made the active decision not to release further information, including descriptions of any potential suspects or releasing CCTV footage. "Releasing such information prematurely could compromise ongoing enquiries and may prejudice future investigative opportunities." The Assistant Chief Constable of Devon and Cornwall police said: "I want to start with expressing my thanks to the local community and to the people who have come forward so far with their information. "We have been working at pace on this investigation. "Officers are making progress and are pursuing a number of lines of enquiry. "At this time we have made the active decision not to release further information, including descriptions of any potential suspects or releasing CCTV footage. "Releasing such information prematurely could compromise ongoing enquiries and may prejudice future investigative opportunities. "The decision not to disclose further details at this time is made on an operational basis. We will release information to the public when it is appropriate and necessary, in order to support the investigation. "I would ask the public again, please do not to speculate on social media. "If you have any relevant information and have not yet reported, please do so via the major incident public portal. "Our thoughts remain with Ann Widdecombe’s family and friends at this sad time. They continue to be supported by specialist officers. "We will provide updates as and when we are able to and thank you for your patience" What i find weird was tbey couldn't wait to say they arrested a white guy now this...

@WasAcop @GriftReport But why say it though and then say "don't speculate" after previously been so keep to tell the public the guy they arrested was white it's just going to get people riled up
Wouldn't it have been wiser just to say nothing about the CCTV or that they are reviewing it instead?

Muslim Man Jailed For Racially Aggravated Assault On Orthodox Jew After Accusing Him Of Killing Babies In Palestine
Shafiq Rahman 48 cornered Moishe Posen in a garden in Elliman Avenue Slough on April 20th 2025 calling him a dirty Jew and threatening to break his jaw while screaming about killing babies in Palestine
He admitted racially aggravated common assault and using threatening words to provoke violence and was sentenced to 16 months in total at Reading Crown Court
Rahman was also found guilty of keeping a dangerous XL Bully dog that attacked another man causing an open fracture to the wrist requiring hospital treatment and operations
The victim said he was angry with himself for going out visibly Jewish and described the UK as becoming intolerant where being Jewish is considered provocative
The attack came amid a spate of incidents targeting Jewish premises including arson on ambulances and shops in recent months
16 months that's it? he wont even serve half that!!

Benefit Fraudster Adam Mejri 46 Jailed For Stealing £160,000 Taxpayers Money Claiming Abandoned Flat And Trying To Access Grenfell Fund
Mejri stole the identity of Munir Altaib and in March 2018 walked into an abandoned council flat in Hurstway Walk claiming to be him and illegally sub let it for £1200 pounds a month
He claimed over £50,000 in employment benefits and £100,000 in housing benefits while avoiding appointments by claiming illness and being abroad
Mejri also tried to claim £5000 from the Grenfell Tower victim compensation fund due to the flats proximity but payment was blocked over identity concerns
He pleaded guilty to welfare fraud and fraud by false representation and was sentenced to 42 months in prison at Southwark Crown Court where he wept and begged for mercy
Judge Neil Calver described the offences as despicable taking advantage of those around Grenfell Tower and called Mejri a thoroughly dishonest person who preys on the misfortune of others
42 months and will likely only serve half that and just shows jhow easy it is to scam the system, what a joke!!

The star who appeared on all four seasons of the A&E show from 2015 to 2019 passed away Monday morning after suffering sudden cardiac arrest while at her day program

Boy 15 Killed Himself Hours After School Suspended Him Over Flimsy Sexual Assault Allegation With No Due Process Now They Claim His Parents Are To Blame
Owen Poirier from Chazy New York died by suicide on October 16th 2023 outside his family business after being sent home from school over claims he touched a 16 year old girl inappropriately on the bus
Bus surveillance showed them sharing lunch and him sitting on her lap but the school found no evidence of sexual assault after investigating and the family says he was given no chance to defend himself or have his parents present
The school district superintendent and principal denied any wrongdoing saying they were not negligent because the death occurred off school property and a judge has not yet ruled if they can countersue the family
After the death the superintendent wrote in an email that the school unequivocally did not find evidence of sexual assault which the family argued in court filings while the school's lawyer claimed the email was taken out of context
The family has filed a federal lawsuit accusing the district of violating due process and showing anti male bias while claiming school officials now blame the parents instead of taking responsibility for failing to properly inform them
