The strength of any European policy signal is in how it lands across 27 member states. Stablecoins are one of the clearer tests of that. The infrastructure exists, the rules exist. But under MiCA, users in Europe cannot earn yield on the digital money they hold, even when that yield is backed by safe, interest-bearing assets. @StandWCrypto_EU is calling on the European Commission to set out a pro-innovation strategy for stablecoins, including lifting the yield restriction, recognising stablecoins as settlement assets, and supporting the euro’s role in digital payments.
