@TatooineSons I didn’t shut down conversation at all. I also said it “seems” that way. Not that he certainly did that. This is why conversations can’t be had because you take what you read and skew it to your beliefs to shut down any opinion that is opposed to yours or any criticism.

@StarWarsOracle You created a post that shuts down conversation immediately. Then you make a statement that Rian deliberately assassinated Luke’s character, which is salacious and inflammatory. This is why conversation can’t be had. Not because someone likes the Sequels.

The antidote for any Star Wars box office concerns is Rian Johnson. Disney and Lucasfilm should greenlight his trilogy. They should make it Episodes X, XI and XII. The Last Jedi understood the Force, the Jedi, the balance, and the dangers of it all better than any Star Wars outside of The Empire Strikes Back. Have it start back on Ach-To. Have Rey return with the Sacred Jedi texts. Have her found a new Jedi Academy there as she learns deeper truths about the Force and passes them onto her students. This would bring energy and discussion back to Star Wars in a way we haven’t seen in years. People would go to the cinema to watch this just because of the controversy. And it would be genius. Plus, this is one cohesive vision. And when Luke’s Force Ghost shows up, the galaxy of fandom will lose its collective mind.

Maybe Filoni should leave this character alone… There’s a book he can use, written brilliantly m. Otherwise just don’t make anything with him.

I think, a proper Luke Skywalker story (Heir to the Empire trilogy). Or a focus and story taken from the Old Republic. One of my favourite eras showing the raw power that came before when war was a constant between the Jedi and Sith. Two things Disney could do. The third would be moving away from the sequel stories that have done so much damage.

Is there anything that could unite this fandom?

Pretty sure the one plan (there wasn’t a plan for the sequels) that was in place was to kill them all and replace them with Disneys own new characters. How they treated the characters before death is what most can’t stomach. Character assassination and then a poor inconsequential death is why most even Mark Hamil call that person Jake Skywalker he’s not our Luke.

Mandalore the Caregiver just doesn't have a lot of snap to it. Also, Disney really traded Mandos heritage AND Grogus Jedi arc for low stakes buddy movies.

@MentorSkywalker Truly these are great stories. It’s baffles me that they haven’t been explored given how well written they all are.

//Same. So many stories were ready to be adapted into some incredible Star Wars stories. I look at the Darth Bane Trilogy, Darth Plagueis, The Kenobi book, the Rise of Darth Vader. The Labyrinth of Evil. So much structure to these stories. With care and love. They could have been something truly special on screen.

How does #StarWars return to its former glory?

@MentorSkywalker Exactly! The EU has all the elements needed. Also Lukes journey of how he will form a new order with differences to what came before. I reread these stories pretty much every year 😂 I just wish someone at LF would pick up a book and a lightbulb goes off!

@StarWarsOracle //The EU had many enemies. Luke even overcoming many challenges. People that simply believe he didn’t struggle while rebuilding having read the EU and that’s also something interesting to see. From him locating old relics as well.
