Public Affairs Officer and Spokesperson Gaïna Dávila and the Cameroon IVLP Alumni Association executive board met with a group of maritime officials who recently returned from the @StateIVLP on Maritime Port Security. After in-depth exchanges with the @uscoastguard and various port, security, and trade experts across the United States, the new IVLP alumni are now working to recommend and implement practical strategies and policies to strengthen maritime security in Cameroon. Our Kiwi International Visitor Leadership Program (@StateIVLP) participants have kicked off their program! Together, leaders from the U.S. and New Zealand will connect to strengthen partnerships and drive prosperity through innovation and technology. Over the next two weeks, five Kiwis will explore the latest in U.S. emerging tech and discover how these breakthroughs can boost economic growth and unlock new business opportunities. They’ll connect with experts from government, the private sector, academia, think tanks, and local communities to share best practices for developing and commercializing these technologies responsibly. The @StateIVLP program is one of our most valuable exchange tools. Today, I met with alumni of law enforcement and security programs, who shared insights on stopping mass migration and related fraud and crimes. Had a very rich discussion on “small boats.” Great example of U.S.–UK collaboration!

@ECAatState Deputy Assistant Secretary Stefanie Williams kicked off a 3-week #IVLP exchange with sports-sector professionals from all over the world. The participants will meet Americans who are leading planning for upcoming FIFA and Olympic events in the U.S., visit state-of-the-art sports venues, and learn about America's proven expertise in hosting mega sporting events. 🏆 ⚽ 🇺🇸

I was honored to present certificates to 12 Panamanian alumni of our premiere @StateIVLP exchange program. These leaders, who travelled to the U.S. over 2023-24, represent government, civil society, and academia, and are key partners in strengthening Panama’s democratic institutions and U.S.–Panama ties.

The U.S. embassy works every day to supercharge economic growth and boost bilateral cooperation in science, technology, and innovation. In August, we sponsored an IVLP OnDemand exchange for twelve Slovenian quantum experts to visit Colorado and California and share best practices in quantum technologies. Local experts from government, academia, and the private sector met with their U.S. counterparts at universities, research institutes, and private companies in Boulder and San Francisco to talk about how we can collaborate and grow our economies together.

America’s commitment to #AI leadership is clear: driving innovation, boosting competitiveness, and strengthening national security. AI Experts from Germany and Sweden visit the U.S. as part of our prestigious IVLP #exchange. While in Washington. D.C., Minnesota, Arizona, and California they will collaborate with interlocutors on innovative AI and secure digital infrastructure while finding ways to mitigate risks. Delighted to have met with trade and supply chain experts from Pacific Island Countries who are participating in @stateivlp. Through this program, they connected with American professionals and explored ways we can strengthen maritime security and improve shipping efficiency across the Indo-Pacific.

It was an honor to meet with Polish Ministry of Education officials and educators who are working to promote Holocaust remembrance and combat antisemitism. Through this @stateivlp, they are learning about U.S. approaches to provide accurate Holocaust history to the next generation.
