A new lager beer, in collaboration with the @StelkensLab, us 😅 and NilsOscar brewery, has seen the light. Indomitus lager brings the Patagonian Andes essence to a bottle. Out of hard scientific work, happy to see this happening 👏🏻👏🏻🍺🍺

Crosses between divergent-selected lines produced hybrids with reduced gamete viability and striking genome instability (lots more SVs), while parallel-selected lines remained largely compatible. This links ecological selection to the emergence of “intrinsic” genetic barriers.
