@SecondChancesAS @cns46z Grass clippings killed 2 of my parents goats due to a worker at the place they were grazing at putting the clippings over the fence despite being told not to while my the goats were grazing in that paddock. Definitely a risk

@cns46z has made a very important point too Please do not throw grass cuttings into fields. This is also dangerous to horses & livestock. This is due to rapid fermentation, high sugar content, mould & toxins, the lawn clippings may contain poisonous plants plus its finely chopped nature can cause animals to gorge on it & not chew properly which could lead to choking Please compost it or put it in your garden waste recycling ♻️ Thanks

‼️WARNING‼️ 🚨PLEASE DO NOT FEED OTHER PEOPLES ANIMALS!!!!🚨 ❌️Please do not feed horses, sheep or other animals over a field gate❌️ Emma was fortunate enough to be outside & see people at the gate calling the animals over. She went over to check & found Daffodil bulbs & leaves ☠️Daffodil bulbs & leaves are highly toxic to horses, sheep & other animals. They could kill the horses & sheep here☠️ These people pulled the Daffodils out of our bank & destroyed it Emma is sure that the people trying to feed the animals were unaware of the implications of feeding Daffodils BUT the simple rule of thumb is NEVER FEED ANIMALS THAT ARE GRAZING IN FIELDS The horses & sheep here are all well fed, have access to hay 365 days a year, even in the summer #rescue #sanctuary #horses #sheep #cardigan #Ceredigion #wales

I've watched this thing a dozen times. What on earth was this guy trying to do? Put the fire out? And if so, with what? What's in the blue bin that he pours on the fire? Any ideas?

@SGTWipper1Each But you can get real pics of your own, my dude. Snagging this one that has already been used in engagement farming is a bad look. Im sure in your job you've seen some astounding "fixes" or "holy shit people live here" material. Stay original bub

@NZ_Trav We once got a bunch of stuff for a chiller system lifted up on top of a building in Featherston St, Welly. It was a surreal experience seeing the chopper amongst the buildings!

I don't know who is piloting here, but Mark Law the CEO is an absolute legend of a man - ex NZSAS, deer recovery pilot, and was the first onto Whakaari in 2019 despite risk to himself and machine which he received the New Zealand Bravy Star, but not before WorkSafe tried their hardest to fuck him and his business Kahu NZ over.

To the dumb fucks that broadcast thesecnow whenever someone has a headache, could you fucking stop? People are at the point they'll be disregarding them, and one day will ignore something actually important. The emergency alert service that cried wolf...

Love the fact that the NZ emergency alert is so obnoxious we all hit ok to shut it up and then the fucken thing disappears. Brilliant system. 10/10 no notes. Guess I'll just die in the cyclone then

@henrycooke Can you ask about teachers who have to travel to get to work? If fuel is unavailable/unaffordable and teachers cannot get to school we may have to go to remote learning regardless of the governments intentions. A lot of teachers live a town over from the schools they teach in.

Willis said the Ministry of Education was talking to schools about potentially extending school bus services to children whose parents could no longer drive them to school, at higher phases.

@gjwg29 @planefag Given it's not a defense alliance but an intelligence sharing agreement, what extra would you like us here in NZ to contribute to it? I agree that we aren't a serious defence country, and that should change, but it has no bearing on 5 eyes

Predictions: 1. Five Eyes is deader than disco. 2. Morocco is going to get some very generous investment offers. 3. Grafenwöhr's economy is about to decline. Poznań's will improve. 4. Greece, Bulgaria and Romania's concerns are about to become significantly more central to US foreign policy. 5. Norway, Denmark etc. are up in the air.

@chrisschmitz @ChrisO_wiki @VADave649 Gemini says that there are only four democracies where you have to register to vote. In all three other cases (UK, AUS, NZ), the aim is not to make it as difficult as possible for voters to vote (like in the US).

@smartereveryday And the pricing structure. Find a set of shoes that are good for a decent price. A year later, design changed to be cheaper and worse, circa 75% price increase. Looking at you Asics.

Company: Me: "Oh Wow.. This shoe is perfect! No notes! It's so comfortable and fits my foot perfect in this exact size! I'll buy it, and wear it until it wears out every couple of years, then buy this shoe every time until I die! Company (Somehow sensing my pleasure): Me (2 years later after wearing shoe every day): "Oh man, these are ragged, but man were they great!. I should get new ones. I'll just get them on the company website....wait... NOT AGAIN!" Me: Genuine question: Why do shoe companies feel the need to drastically overhaul designs every 6 months?

UPDATE FROM TAUPO FIRE: Rotorua’s ladder truck failed while deployed, spewing water from its tank — forcing Hamilton’s high-reach aerial to be urgently scrambled from two hours away. That delay matters at fires of this scale.

The Khara-Hora Shaft is a mysterious, deeply vertical underground structure discovered in 2011 in Russia's North Caucasus (Kabardino-Balkaria) at the Ka Hora mountain peak. Featuring 40-meter-deep, polished, vertical walls made of precisely fitted megalithic blocks, it opens into a 36-meter-high hall. Theories suggest it is an artificial pre-historic, possibly industrial or technological structure.

Oatmeal was called "poverty porridge" for a reason. It's what Scottish peasants ate because they couldn't afford meat. Now it's marketed as a superfood and Scottish lords' diet of beef and game is called unhealthy. They convinced you that poverty food is premium nutrition.
