Turns out Sam Altman "buying up" 40% of DRAM wafers was actually him writing Letters of Intent. Letters he supposedly had / has no intention of converting to actual purchases now.
And memory manufacturers are just getting DUMPED on today.🍿🍿

@Sutter_Pain @CommieSlayer8 @hardwarecanucks Buy used enterprise HDDs on ebay and use those. For image storage it doesn't make much difference. You can even keep your working set on your (smaller) SSD.
HDDs are not so good for video, though.

Z9 and Z8 are the only still cameras on the planet that can shoot at 120 frames per second.
While a D3X could do the shot, and can get up to 1/8000 of a second, it maxes out at about 9FPS, making the likelihood of capturing that bullet less than a camera that can do up to 120. I’m not saying the photographer was using his camera at 120 FPS, but anything over 9 frames per second increases the likelihood of the capture, and I doubt he was using something as ancient as a D3X.

Ask yourself how this photographer knew to use a very powerful camera set for that very extremely fast shutter speed.
