@a_de_do_yin @SAM_LUMINOSO @diplosoft So now you want my argument but when I was trying to establish it you put words in my mouth. Y'all deserve whatever your rulers dish out to you. I was gonna actually engage you properly but nah, not worth it. Funny thing is Nigeria has a way of happening to everyone. Peace.
English

Yes u are right, i know about image rights. And yes if anyone uses my image without authorization i will sue them and trust me its going to carry a bunch of zeros.
But using the police to settle such matter is the problem here.

@diplosoft I think a supposed photographer that you claim to be should know more about image rights. @diplosoft you show act better because I assume you're not ignorant you just don't like VDM. Put sentiment aside, if anyone does same to you, what will you do?
English

@a_de_do_yin @SAM_LUMINOSO @diplosoft Show me where I said the established facts and what was done so far was illegal & since you saw my point from a mile away pls make the point for me let me sir.
English

@TempoBase @SAM_LUMINOSO @diplosoft I already saw your point from a mile away. You missed important points which I have pointed out. The onus is on you to point out where I'm mistaken in my assumptions about what your point is/will be. It doesn't stop you from making your argument.
English

@a_de_do_yin @SAM_LUMINOSO @diplosoft Pls sir, show me the tweet. You said you saw my point from a mile away, that I missed important point, that I glossed over. Show me the point I said it was illegal & again I will apologize. What I have only done with you was trying to establish a common ground of the case but..
English

@a_de_do_yin @SAM_LUMINOSO @diplosoft Tell me where I said what was done was illegal & I will apologize. Show me my tweet that said that. Thank you.
English

@a_de_do_yin @SAM_LUMINOSO @diplosoft I can see that you are not trying to hear the point I am trying to make which was your initial question b/c you already put words in my mouth when I haven't even started. Anyways, I see what's going on. It is well.

You're glossing over the steps that show due process was followed, and downplaying the actual allegations to make it look like VDM just abused power over simple "defamation." VDM filed a petition over multiple serious offences: criminal impersonation, forgery (including fake flight tickets in VDM's name), false claims of a ₦500M ambassadorship deal, unauthorised use of VDM's image on billboards/flyers for app promotions (Blunt Gadget, Billpoint, etc.), and more. Not just defamation. Police invited Blord for questioning. He didn't honour it. Only then did they arrest him and take him straight to the Federal High Court the same day (April 1). Charges were read to him in open court, he pleaded not guilty, and the court (not VDM) ordered the 26-day remand. This wasn't zero process or VDM personally sending him to Kuje. Standard procedure was followed after an ignored invitation on a criminal petition with visible public evidence, followed by immediate judicial oversight. Very different from the disputed EFCC no-notice-at-all detention of VDM in 2025. Facts over the selective oppression narrative.
English

@a_de_do_yin @SAM_LUMINOSO @diplosoft 5. The judge then reviewed the case and ordered B-Lord remanded in custody for 26 days. Do we first agree that this is what happened before I continue.
English

@TempoBase @SAM_LUMINOSO @diplosoft 1. They aimed to invite him for questioning but he didn't honour. VDM denies this.
2. When VDM was arrested and brought in for questioning no charges were brought against VDM.
3. They only started trying to build a case against him while he was in custody.
What did you learn?
English

@a_de_do_yin @SAM_LUMINOSO @diplosoft 1. VDM filed a criminal defamation complaint against B-Lord with the police.
2. The offense, he alleged defamation
3.The police arrested B-Lord directly.
This was without a prior court summons or bench warrant.
4.After arrest, the police brought him to court legalize it
English

@a_de_do_yin @SAM_LUMINOSO @diplosoft There are 2 key legal points to consider Bench warrant VS direct arrest & Remand. These are the 2 key legal issues to consider
