@Modest_ralts That is honestly extremely appealing. Twitch basically wants 3 minutes of unskippable ads ever 30-60 minutes. And being able to edit without deleting is really nice when needed

@Test_Runner Also, I don’t know how it’s done, but apparently you can edit VODs after the stream. I’ve seen instances of streamers cutting parts, or censoring things that shouldn’t have been shown.

So, uh, how's YouTube streaming these days?

@Modest_ralts Well both sides tbh. I know the content you watch is pretty successful but Speedrunning community stuff is pretty absent still

@Test_Runner Well you know that’s all I watch, and I think it’s fine, but I know the question is meant from the other side.

@wooferzfg Yeah having the ability to seek a live stream is by far my favorite feature of TY. Super good for live presentations as well as just wanting to review something without making a clip

@Test_Runner i really like being able to pause/rewind a live stream without having to find a separate vod that's usually several minutes behind

@CryZe107 Oh apparently YT does have a Live category in the directory, but a little weird it's not front page. I guess it's just really low value for YT

@CryZe107 In the directory, the shorts doesn't show the name or logo, it only shows the video name.

@CryZe107 So I've heard but tbh from a viewer I hate shorts, so I've never really understood that. I guess I truly am not part of the TikTok generation. One of my problems with shorts is they don't say who made them, so it's like this weird YouTube ownership thing

@Test_Runner Also Shorts are an insane algorithm boost as far as I've heard.

@MitoRequiem Lmao, thanks. I mostly headed things in 3.0-5.0, but I've mostly retired since then. Idk maybe I'll come back if I'm feeling inspired but it was a lot of work and I wanted to finish Metroid Subversion

@CryZe107 One problem I've personally had is I would discovery of streams to be rough. Like I don't think there's a like stream directory?
