I am not a fan of the "how come this isn't a bigger story" tweets but in this case how is this not a bigger story? Homeland and base defenses and military readiness were ill equipped for these drones. We tried to stop them; the drones were resistant to jamming.

And yet, one agent has him in a chokehold… while four others are kneeling on his body, pinning him down. Then, out of nowhere, the agent tightens the chokehold… and hits him in the face. While he’s already restrained… While four grown agents are already on top of him. That is excessive force. A chokehold on a restrained person… that alone is dangerous. People die like that. Having multiple officers on top of someone’s back, while they’re face down… that’s how you cut off someone’s ability to breathe. And then hitting him while he’s pinned down? That’s punishment. That’s abuse of force. There is a line… even during an arrest. And piling onto a man who isn’t resisting, restricting his breathing, and striking him in the face while he’s restrained… crosses it. Badly. Because if five agents can’t restrain one man without choking him and hitting him… then this was never about safety. It was about control. And people should be outraged.

Bear with me for a personal story that sheds light on this 'antisemitic hate crime' issue. Last year I was invited to deliver a lecture on state violence to a conference. I used Gaza as the main example. A Jewish woman confonted me in the refreshments queue. She accused me of selecting an inappropriate example. I replied that I'm against Netanyahu's regime and I hope you are too. She said nothing and returned to her seat. That was it. Nothing more. The following morning, the conference organiser rang to inform me that I had been reported to the regional police service as the perpetrator of an antisemitic hate crime. NFA, of course, but the incident has still been registered and the university informed. So it's on the statistics. How often is this happening? Genuine question, because I really don't know.

It is outrageous that so many prominent democrats are distancing themselves from and demonizing AIPAC.AIPAC is part of an established and respected American tradition of lobbying and it is being portrayed as un-American and immoral -as if the money is coming from the KKK! Politicians who are opposed to NRA , don’t take money from the NRA but do not proclaim “ I will not take money from NRA….” What’s next , I will not take money from Jews?
