You're laughing? A cop testified under oath that he does not know if Afroman fucked his wife, and you're laughing?

@KYCooperrider Its the same as stadiums. They privatize profit and lay the risk and cost on the public. If the plant had been possibly profitable they could have done it without the public money.

🚨BREAKING: Local governments around Kentucky's BlueOval SK boondoggle are now facing budget shortfalls after dumping MILLIONS in taxpayer cash into this "EV miracle" startup. Hardin County is staring down holes in its budget thanks to layoffs & no revenue. The state threw $250M (forgivable loan) + tax breaks + free land + free training for hired employees at it for promised 5,000 jobs by 2031. The plant idled after 4 months, all 1,600 taxpayer-trained workers laid off, second site never opened. Part of the deal involved Hardin County giving the plant a 15-year property tax exemption. The only way the county could offset the infrastructure investments made was through occupational (income) tax. With the layoffs, that tax revenue is no longer coming in, and the county has been left holding the bag. I called this YEARS ago when the deal was first made—this was never Ford building a proven auto manufacturing plant. It's ALWAYS been a startup gamble dressed up as "economic development." Politicians & cheerleaders who fell for the hype (Beshear & crew leading the charge) look like absolute fools. Nobody is being held accountable, and nobody is learning from the mistakes as more economic development gambles continue.

@elonmusk Its not bad. I would like some more control over the agents. IE, in the drop down enable/disable my custom agents in the web UI or android app.

@BradRTorgersen @data_republican The price of x is no longer a barrier to keeping the bots down. It eliminates some. But they're probably using stolen credit cards to create verified accounts and those make enough to be worth it to them. I don't know what there's any way to truly solve it.

As others have noted, the bot accounts co-follow. Perhaps half this platform is nothing but bot and farm accounts. And they are all trailing around behind each other like ants. As with Facebook, I'd abandon X totally except it's still a good place to talk to real people I really know, as well as interact with people I don't necessarily know, but like.

Is it a reality that some bot accounts have more than 500 followers?

Want to use my new crockpot but I don’t want to make chili or pot roast or any of the more traditional meals. Send me your favorite recipes for the crockpot, please. :)

I recently received a message from a follower that compels me to address an important issue. As a matter of principle, I do not publicly share direct messages. I consider private correspondence to be exactly that, private. However, given the seriousness of the situation presented here, I am making a deliberate and limited exception. The individual referenced has reported my account to Twitter based on a claim that is entirely unfounded. To be unequivocally clear: I have no affiliation, association, or connection whatsoever with the account that allegedly scammed this individual. I do not offer job opportunities, investment schemes, or any form of money-making ventures. Any implication otherwise is false and misrepresents both my actions and my character. The only request I have ever made of my audience is support through a legitimate GiveSendGo fundraiser to assist with ongoing medical expenses. That request has always been transparent, direct, and grounded in honesty, nothing more, nothing less. It is deeply concerning to be reported over something I neither participated in nor endorsed. Accountability matters, but so does accuracy. Misplaced accusations not only harm reputations but also erode the integrity of discourse on this platform. Let me also be clear on this point of principle: if my account is suspended as a result of this situation, I will not return to the platform. I will not rebuild from scratch, nor will I appeal or plead for reinstatement. There is a fundamental issue at stake here, one of fairness, truth, and personal integrity, and I will stand firmly on those principles.

@PolitiBunny They almost all use the same system to bid the jobs out to contract transports. Go for one that's enclosed and insured is all I can say.

So ... this may be a weird ask, but can any of you suggest a company to transport a new car from Wyoming to Virginia? lol Weird and oddly specific, I know. But we did win a car, and I'm trying to do my homework and figure out the most affordable and safest way to get it here. There are SO MANY carriers, and they are so aggressive in their quotes that I can't even begin to figure out which makes the most sense or will take the best care of my new vroom-vroom. Thought I'd ask you maniacs, which might not be a great idea either, lol. Thoughts?

As they are learning in the coding field right now. It can sort of help get to a solution. It can't maintain code or do work with complex systems. I just am pointing out that the rulings that say its not privileged, what you put in an LLM, and that you are responsible for the outputs... I'd be very cautious.

@The_Memeries @alexthechick Using an AI is fine, but those using the tool are responsible for connecting its results to the real world. This is why “AI is gonna take all the jobz!” is misguided: can’t blindly trust results of a random word generator.
